Almost end of week 2, have been feeling great, no pain barely any discomfort and can drink my Water at a decent pace. When I hit my water goal, barely hungry. Tomorrow I start my pureed/mushy stage, excited to try the recepies I have seen online for this stage.

Hello everyone, had my 1st meal outside of liquid, not sure why I chose chili aside from my team saying we could have it. I took my sweet time eating it (about 40 minutes), chewing one bean 50 times and checking my body for signals, I added 2 oz of broth to thin it out and dilute the spices. I was able to have 1oz when I got a hiccup and since that is one of the full signals, I stopped immediately. I'm monitoring myself like crazy to check for anything out of sorts, but I will skip it for a few meals to try things maybe with a little less spice.

Hope everyone is having a great start of their weeks!

How’s everyone doing? I have much more strength & energy. One incision is still very painful when I move certain ways. Like a searing heat through the stomach. Yikes! Other than that I’m doing well tolerating my puréed/mushed food & getting all fluids. I do need to focus more on Water though. I do better when I carry around a cup of ice & slowly munch throughout the day. I’m 16 days post op & down 18lbs. My doctor was happy when he saw me at 1 week post op & I was down 10. Hope everyone else is doing very well also. What are y’all eating? I wish Protein was available in pill form!

I'll be a month PO on Sunday and have only just stopped having incision pain in the last day or so -- I didn't take tylenol this morning for the first time in weeks! Had a lot more luck with my Water once I switched to a straw cup (my doctor's office confirmed yesterday that they think the literature recommended against straws is outdated) and meeting my Protein goals when I started making my own Protein Shake in the morning with unflavored powder, fairlife milk, and PB2 -- it doesn't really taste like anything, but after all the super sweet Protein Shakes I had the first few weeks that's exactly what I want.

Hi doing well here 2 weeks post op. Have been eating tuna with lots of yogurt, had chili once, crab salad, egg bites with hummus, mozzarella cheese, ground turkey, all handled well.

My fluids are at about 55oz to 60z but it gets hard, its easier to meet protein with a 30g shake for Snacks otherwise I fall at 50g

Today have not been hungry since Breakfast, but having shakes throughout the day.

Had my 2 week follow up, everything is going great. I have to start my gall bladder medicine today and in 2 weeks my B12 injections. Everything I have had to eat has settled good, and I'm consistently drinking 50-55oz which he said was good. I have not been doing much activity, I figured I will start when the dreaded 3-week stall comes around and that will trick it lol, let's see if that works lol

Wow! Well done. I’m having such a hard time drinking what I need to while just sipping. Plus, eating is a nuisance. I’ve stalled on weight loss in my second week bc I’m not eating/drinking enough…I suspect. What’s your schedule/ technique?

We have what the doctor calls a boot camp, I try to stick to it as much as I can but essentially is get up have a hot drink, Breakfast within 90 minutes of waking up, which is now an egg bite with hummus or some Protein Shake, then every 2.5hrs to 3 alternate between Protein shake, lunch, protein shake and dinner. Meals should only take 30mins so it is whatever I can eat in that time.

I have a premier shake which is 30g, I add Water and the unflavored protein to make it closer to 40g and split that within the 2 Protein Shakes I will have in a day. Lunch and dinner are basically the same (tuna/crab salad/ground turkey) and at most 2oz. Then is sipping water all day, I start the moment I open my eyes in bed, even drink throughout the night. Take the bottle to the bathroom and make sure I sip ever 5 to 10 min. Last night I stayed up 30 min just to finish my last 2 ounces 🤣 but he said that as long as I'm getting 40oz I'm doing good, since my program does only count protein shakes as half the liquid.

Was running low on my Protein Shake, which the only one I have had post-surgery is premier chocolate and I do not even like chocolate but find it good. I reordered the caramel which I found good before and the chocolate Peanut Butter which is delicious like a butter finger or resees cup. I will be taking a few for my holiday vacation.

Last night I had a slice of ham too fast and just sat on the back of my throat, granted yesterday was a day I was eating everything fast so that did not help. Today is a new day and I'm making sure I take smaller bites and chew chew chew.

My weight has fluctuated a bit, but it has moved I think is the hormones (dry skin anyone) and the fact I took some stool softener too.

Eating slowly has been a challenge for me too, particularly time between bites. Hoping today went better!

It definitely has been better, at first, I was taking too long but found a medium, hope I don't forget in a couple of days.

I don't even feel like I had surgery on some days. Some days I can feel the restriction and some days I can eat a lot more than I should, or at least in my mind. This whole process is challenging. I wish I could get rid of feeling bloated.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
