I am experiencing similar symptoms. I mentioned it to my healthcare team at my last check-in, and they smiled and said it was very common.

Pre-surgery, I was constantly hot. I kept the AC as cold as tolerable for others both at work and home. I felt like I was always sweating, slept with barely any blankets/sheets and the ceiling fan on high.

Post-op, I am now a freeze baby. I have stacked the bed with blankets, wear long-sleeves nearly every day, whether indoors or outside, and always have an extra jacket with me. The change is dramatic.

OH im glad this was bumped. I'm almost 3 months out & this is the first December where I'm wearing a sweater EVERY DAY. I would wear a sweater like 5x max in the winter (I'm in California so it's not needed that often) but I've been freezing this winter!

I used to be that person that would never need extra warmth. My fat was more than enough & I enjoyed the cold. Now I feel like a fragile plant haha

I'm in SoCal, so it's so much worse other places, but I'm still sleeping with two heating pads, 5 blankets, and a 50lb puppy, and I'm still cold at night 😭

I dread my days off when I actually have to put together an outfit, nothing I own seems warm enough.

Well, I'm now almost 7 1/2 months out, and I'm still freezing all the time. Right now I have on leggings, socks, a long sleeve sweatshirt, and a blanket wrapped around me lol And I'm wearing slippers. I look ridiculous. But I can't help it!!! I'm COLD!!! I have the heat on (it's 18 degrees outside) but my hands and feet are frozen. Just absolute popsicles. It's so so weird to me lol

Did you find Summer time was more bearable? I would always overheat in the & I'm hoping this temperature shift also means I'll stay a tiny bit cooler in the summer

Last summer I went to Spain and the temperature was in the 90's. Hot Hot Hot. I did not break a bead of sweat. Didn't use the air con, just felt brilliant. Today its -8 and I am going Christmas shopping with my bestie. I am freezing in a Thermal vest, jumper dress, leggings, long socks and fur boots, big parka coat and bobble hat, wool scarf and two pairs of gloves. I always complained about being too hot before surgery....... serves me right

The cold-sensitivity hit me late. Wasn't so bad as I was losing, but in the last couple of months I have really felt it. I am looking for a jacket now the second the temp drops, even in summer (which has been mild so far, I'm hoping the opposite will be true - that I can stand the heat more when the high numbers start to hit).

9 weeks post op, I started wearing a fleece vest wherever I go as I'm running cold. My son's lake house 20 degrees outside, I wore leggings under my pants. Feet are always frozen. I tended to get hot flashes even post menopausal from Metformin, especially triggered from summer heat. Haven't taken it since surgery). So glad to hear the summer heat will be better. Hopefully between less sweating. Hitting the gym next week so getting the sweating in where it should be. Lol. But with less weight and better fitness, sweating should could be less.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
