Good afternoon to one and all.

I have taken my first step on the journey to being able to schedule my surgery. This Wednesday, June 8 I have my webinar session needed to be able to see the doctor.

I know this is required but what did other people think of it when you had to watch it?

I’m not sure if it’s the same but I had to watch an informational video about the different surgeries. It was pretty helpful when I talked to the surgeon I wasn’t totally clueless at least.

Ditto for me. I had to watch a 20 minute informational video before I could schedule my first appointment. It was no big deal.

I had to attend a webinar where the Dr went over each surgery in depth with the pros and cons. At the end of the presentation he answered any questions we had. I had watched several videos and talked to my friends who have had bariatric surgery (both bypass and sleeve) so was pretty informed already However I still found it useful.

they didn't have Webinars back when I had mine seven years ago, but I had to go to an informational session (they had them scheduled once a month) where one of the surgeons from the practice spoke. They mostly just went over the different surgeries, talked about the benefits of weight loss surgery, and entertained questions. But yes - it was required. I'm glad I went because that's what convinced me I needed to have this done.

Thank you all. The webinar session is going to be going over the different procedures and the pros and cons with a doctor talking about it. I am glad to hear for some it was helpful. I am trying to get all the information I can to make the correct decision for myself. I believe in gathering all the information you can Good and Bad before, making a life-altering decision like this.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
