Stress alone will easily kick your sugar levels up. It is easy enough for them to bring your levels down by giving you some insulin on the day to correct this.

My blood sugar has been going up but it's never been over 200. The last time I had my A1C ran it was 6.5. Guess I'll know in a few days if this is going to prevent me from getting surgery.

I haven't been taking anything for my blood sugar. But I do metformin prescribe to me. I started taking it last night. I hope this bring it down. It's crazy that it never been in the 200s and now that I've cut back a lot on carbs and drinking more protein shakes. My sugar all of a sudden decided to shoot up ?‍♀️

Did you have any artificial sweetener before you took the test? Or anything other than water/black coffee? That can affect your results.

So, if you had a protein shake before the test that could affect it.

Good luck!

Hopefully your doctors can figure out what's going on. Maybe you might have to go on some medications.
