Canadians that had surgery in Mexico

I am just about to pay my deposit for Surgery at Elias Ortiz and Company with Dr. Elias Ortiz. I am feeling very confident in my decision but I will be traveling alone. Any fellow Canadians that can share on travel experiences alone? Or just you experience doing your surgery in Mexico.. Thanks!!

I am not Canadian and did not have surgery in Mexico, but I did live in Tijuana, know the city very well, and have guided many people through, both from San Diego Airport as well as from Tijuana airport. Let me know if you have specific questions.
