My surgery is scheduled for Monday - I can’t believe in 48 hours it’s finally time!! I’ve been on the pre-op diet for two weeks tomorrow and I’m down 12lbs. I started at 242 and am now 230.

I’m feeling ALL THE FEELINGS… excited, scared, like I’ve failed, like there is hope, like it won’t work for me, like it will work and I’ll finally achieve a normal weight. I’m all over the place!

Did anyone else go through this?!

Absolutely. I don’t think I’ve ever really felt so many emotions at one time. Hang in there. It’s well worth it.

Yay, it's almost here! I think it is totally normal to be "feeling all the feelings"! Yes, I went through many different feelings before my surgery. Nervous, scared, hopeful, & excited! Surgery is a big step. I even wrote letters to my family, just in case. I woke up that day with a calmer feeling, & ready to get it started!

So far, things are going well. The first week can be tough (tiredness, soreness, discomfort & difficulty getting fluids down), but it gets better & easier as you go through the different phases of the diet.

Wishing you lots of luck on Monday & throughout this process!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
