Surgery in 48hrs!!

My surgery is scheduled for Monday - I can’t believe in 48 hours it’s finally time!! I’ve been on the pre-op diet for two weeks tomorrow and I’m down 12lbs. I started at 242 and am now 230.

I’m feeling ALL THE FEELINGS… excited, scared, like I’ve failed, like there is hope, like it won’t work for me, like it will work and I’ll finally achieve a normal weight. I’m all over the place!

Did anyone else go through this?!

  • Absolutely. I don’t think I’ve ever really felt so many emotions at one time. Hang in there. It’s well worth it.

  • My surgery is on Monday also!!! Good luck with everything. I’ve also got all the feels. You’ll do great.

Yay, it's almost here! I think it is totally normal to be "feeling all the feelings"! Yes, I went through many different feelings before my surgery. Nervous, scared, hopeful, & excited! Surgery is a big step. I even wrote letters to my family, just in case. I woke up that day with a calmer feeling, & ready to get it started!

So far, things are going well. The first week can be tough (tiredness, soreness, discomfort & difficulty getting fluids down), but it gets better & easier as you go through the different phases of the diet.

Wishing you lots of luck on Monday & throughout this process!

Woohoo!! How exciting. :) One of the best decisions I've ever made, you won't regret it!

Ahh we’ve got this!! ???? Please feel free to message me if you need a friend when you’re recovering, we can reassure each other along the way! Good luck!
