How long before you were able to kick BP Meds to the curb? I have been on them about 10 years and have had some really low readings at times since surgery. I also suspect they create a little weight gain. Looking forward to being off these in the near future!

It may take longer the longer you've had hypertension and been on meds though.

I was taking lisinopril and they had me stop 1 days before surgery and I had to stop another med hydraclorathizid. My surgeon said you can not take lisinopril because it dehydrates you. I am still taking 1 other med for blood pressure. But hoping to come off that with in the first 90 days or so. I am only 1 day out from surgery so i am really excited to see how this all goes.

I bet you won't be on them for very long. The hydrochlorothiazide is a water pill and could dehydrate you too.
