  1. Volunteered to be my 12yr olds rec softball coach and can actually stand for the entire practoce and game not to mention can roll model running for the girls. Last night we did a drill inwhich the team had to field line drives and make the play to home plate to get the third base runner out. I was the runner, when they made it I did 10 junping jacks when they missed they did 10 jumping jacks. It was amazing! Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would play any sport ever, let alone run drills with the team or COACH! 2 years in and its a new life completely !
  2. This is so true, I remember reading everyone's successes and for soooo long I just wouldn't reach those goals. It took me much longer than everyone else to hit my losing stride and it worried me to compare my path with everyone else and not see it match. It's been a year and 6 months and I have lost 184 lbs. I still have 52 lbs to lose to hit my goal, the skin has been a new thing to be worried about but I have reached soo many goals Its mind blowing how different I am. Not just physically but as a whole person. Everyone needs to realize your goals and how you reach them is going to be specific to you. It's an amazing journey, strap in, commit and enjoy every phase.
  3. Hubby picked me up yesterday without any trouble and then proceeded to tell me that I need to be more careful not to be obducted. 😅😄😄😄 He is legit scared someone is going to just pick me up and steal me. I was shocked because truthfully I have never been concerned someone would steal me, ever. But now the hubby is seriously worried about it, guess it's time for a self defense class 🤣. His worry melts my heart and makes me smile lol.
  4. My husband and kids can close their arms around me, this is thenfirst time in my childrens lives they have ever been able to do that. I can run. I can cross my legs! I find myself doing this even in the car! 😂 My recently I bought 2 pairs of leggings at target from the womens department... NOT the plus size wall, the actual Womens section. Yes they are a 2x from the womens department But they arent a 2xl from the plus size section which is bigger. I felt so proud 👏 🥲 🥰.
  5. Thank you for the encouragement 🥰
  6. From 1 month lost op to 6 months post op. I am 130 lbs down from my start weight and 110lbs down from my day of surgery weight. AND 153 lbs down from my highest weight. I am still struggling with all this change, it is hard to believe the way I look. Then when I stalled I was so upset and afraid until my hubby pointed out that while I stalled on the scale I was winning in other places. My face was changing, he could wrap his arms around me and he had to hold higher up on his forarm to close completely around me. My arms are smaller, I have more stamina and strength. Thank God for his support, helping me to be strong and keep going.

    Any March Surgeries?

I am 5 wks post op and have lost 30 lbs since surgery. Sometimes I feel like this is not enough weight loss and it is frustrating. Anyone else in the 30 lb since day of surgery?
  8. I am about 4 weeks post op fro Gastric Bypsss. I still can not hold down chicken, turkey, eggs, cauliflower rice, and some cheeses like a mozerrella in extra virgin olive oil. I am throwing up like every single day within 3-4 bites of my small meal. Thank God I am able to hold down the portein shakes and most cheeses otherwise I would be sunk. Anyone else experience this? Was there Anything that made it easier to hold food down? Any tips or tricks? All advice would be greatly appreciated!
  9. At 3 weeks out I was able to remove the extension on my 44D bra for the first time in 10 years.

    Living Rent Free

This is coming from 21 years in a relationship. You have to speak your truth regardless of a fight or disagreement. You can not live your life scared to rock the boat that you are rowing. It is your marriage too and he doesnt get to say "dont disagree with me". Marriage is work, it is not going to be easy all the time. As long as you are safe speaking your truth speak it. If you are not safe speaking your truth, it maybe time to find a safe space for you to be and that maybe not woth your husband. If it is on your mind, tell him and ask him to think of another response because he is going to get those kinds of comments. Good luck and know your feelings are worth being heard.

    Any March Surgeries?

The biddgest port definitely hurts the most. Wanna know some interesting information. If u have gastric bypass they leave the stomach inside 🤯 I dont know about the sleeve, since I have gastric bypass. But I thought that was very interesting when my surgeon told me that. Glad you are progressing well. I m 8 days out and no more gas pain but still have muscle pain.
  18. I had Gastric Bypass March 25th, so about 6 days ago. I am very frustrated, I have been having some weird post op experiences I never expected to deal with. 1. Bad constipation 2. Feeling incoherent at times, even being slightly combative 3. Feeling frustrated if not down right disappointed with myself. So first I have had extremly bad constipation. I still havent had a full bowl movement, today, tuesday 3/30 I sent my husband to buy milk of magnesia to help. It has helped a little so hopefully things will get better the rest of this week. Secondly is anyone else incoherent and even combative at times? It only happens when I am waking up from a nap. After exercise or activity I get really tired and almost feel like i am in a fog so I take a nap. My husband wakes me up every hour to 2 hours to get me to drink some water. When he does I am really out of it like I dont know whats going on but even worse I will argue with him. It scares him. Worse I dont really remeber it and I am not even medicated. I have been avoiding the pain medication to try to help relieve the constipation, so I know it is not drugs altering my perception. Its freaky! Lastly I feel like I am failing or the surgery was a failure. I know its the iv and stuff and I shouldn't let it get to me but the scale is showing a weight gain of almost 8.5 lbs. Add that to the swelling from the surgery and I feel so disappointed. I cant shake it. I havent gotten back on the scale since everyone let me know it takes time to get rid of the IV fluids they pump into u in the hospital. I have to keep reminding myself "I AM NOT GOING TO CHECK IT AGAIN UNTIL THE 2 WEEK Post Op" which is 9 days away. But that doesnt make the bad thoughts go away. I never thought I would deal with negative thoughts and feelings this close to the surgery! Anyone else struggling? I feel like its just me failing and it sucks so much!

    Weight loss pace

Are you doing any exercise or walking? I am trying to decide if I should start doing my aerobic walking youtube videos yet. I am exactly 7 days post op today. My class notebook says to add moderate walking in. For 15 minutes per day in the 2nd week. I want to start but I am also still having pain in my abdomen so I am unsure what to do.

    Sick of Liquid Diet

I am totally feeling this today! I am exactly 1 week post op and I just want to eat some veggies or chew on some chicken. I am planning on eating miso soup tomorrow for one of my meals and God how I wish I could just chew up the tofu myself! 😭
  21. Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it, I am staying off the scale from now until next monday. How much walking did you do? Was it moderate or slow walking in the first few weeks?
  22. I will stay off the scale, promise. Thank you for your post. I do kinda feel looney tunes right now 🙃
  23. Thank you so much! I am trying so hard to find the optimism. Your words truly helped me thank you very much!
  24. I am on the pureed/liquid diet too I had Gastric Bypass 6 days ago. I have been relying on the 2-4 tablespoons measurements. I only had one time wherr I felt some pressure in my chest I think that was a full feeling.
