The beginning of my journey

I will be starting weight watchers as my "medically supervised diet" for BCBS of Alabama. I will go to my first meeting on Dec 6 and continue for the next 6 months! I went to my regular doctor today to make sure she can and will do the "supervision" of the diet and she said yes. I am glad b/c I really love her-she is a great doctor and a wonderful person! Anyhow I have my first consultation with my lap band doctor on Jan 16. My sister is going to-we work at the same place, we attended the seminar together as well. We are doing this journey together. I am very excited and just anxious for July to arrive!! Today I weighed in at 348 and my BMI is 57. I would like to get down to 140 but Im not sure that is realistic-what do you all think?

Hi Heather!

Welcome to LBT! My starting weight was close to your, 330lbs. I've set my goal weight as 150lbs. When I get to my goal, I may decide to lose more, who know's what I'll look like at 150lbs. I think it is realistic for you to set a goal of 140lbs. Good luck with your supervised diet and take care.
