Recommended Posts

Hi there! I'm having my bypass surgery on 10/26 and would like to connect with people that are having bypass surgery on or around the same date so that we can follow each other's journey's. Good luck to everyone!

I’m in! My bypass surgery date is 11/5. Getting nervous, but excited too. My journey started 12 years ago with the lap band. After having some issues I had to have that removed in January. I loved my band, but I am hoping this is going to be even better. I am 5’2” and 225.

Two days until surgery and the nerves are kicking in. I keep finding myself thinking about the things I can never have again (goodbye wine), but I quickly remind myself of everything I will be gaining...most importantly an improved quality of life. How are your nerves these days?

I am three days out from surgery. Now at 222.8 so I lost more than the 11 pounds they wanted me to before surgery. I am ready but nervous!

You'll do great! The nerves are normal. I'm on day 3 post op and feel pretty good aside from gas pains.

I am scheduled for 11/8. Would love to connect with others. I’m at the giving up coffee, sugar, solids stage so I’m a super ray of sunshine. You’ve been warned. image.jpeg.06d4464b3df6a1c4e80f4c24b01db8f1.jpeg

Had my first day of eating today. No more clear fluids! I got the sleeve done. Have lost my bloating and am starting to drop. Just nervous I can eat enough lol.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
