Hi. My surgery date is Oct 26. I know how you feel. I go between excitement and terror. I think we all feel the same, pre-op.

I tried a few Protein Shakes and hated them. I dont like the thick, milky texture. I talked to a nutritionist and he suggested Syntrax Nectur. So much better. They taste like lemonade and fruit punch. Amazon has a sample variety with a bunch of different flavors.

There is also unflavored Isolate whey Protein that you can add to crystal lite, ice tea, or broth.

My surgery is set for October 14. My anxiety is through the roof. I'm nervous and scared. Any suggestions on the Protein Shakes. I've tried the premiere Protein shakes and making my on but I can't stand the taste.

Expensive as all **** but... Isopure (dutch cocoa was my early fav), Syntrax Nectar, GENEPRO seem to be popular choices. Also BariatricPal Store sells a large variety of Protein Shake and Protein supplement alternatives if shakes aren't your cup of tea

I was a fan of the Syntrax Nectars and Matrix formulas. Try one of the BariatricPal Soup based ones or their Protein Drinks as well. They’ve really helped on days where I didn’t want another Protein Shake.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
