Any foods that still ( or recently ) make you sick ?

Recommended Posts

I'm close to two years out. Nothing makes me commit, but a lot of things either physically hurt my stomach or make me nauseous. Most raw veg (carrots used to be my favorite food, now they're evil), cantaloupe, sometimes apples (particularly when paired with peanut butter), probably some others I'm forgetting because I just don't eat them anymore.

Chinese food the past few times I've had it. Made me vomit it.

Excess sugar gets me almost every time (especially on an empty stomach)

This! Some ice creams kill me but I can do a kiddie sized cone of soft serve. Culver's custard made me feel like absolute death! It took a while for my body to allow rice (mainly for sushi or Chinese food) but now I just need to be really mind the amount I eat and I *usually* keep it down.

Ground beef is a no-go for me. I don't know why but my stomach just doesn't tolerate it well.

Yes, I'm two years post-sleeve and I still can't eat tortillas or steak without getting the foamies and I can only eat a small bite of bread or Pasta or potatoes. But that's a GOOD thing because I don't need to be eating them anyway.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
