I am so sorry for you. I know it sounds lame but there are so many people struggling. You are not alone. Eventually life will return to normal and you'll be back on track with your surgery. It's hard to see a light at the end of this but I'm certain there is one. Hang in there. You can do it. We're all stronger than we know.

Nope, you can't sleep, you have some work to do...

I watched a documentary earlier this week on Netflix about virus outbreaks and what can be done for prevention. There was a segment on what is being done with migrants as they enter the US. Don’t want to open a can of worms on this topic either for or against. The fact is if there are services for migrants, there are “services” available for US citizens who are in need. The problem is one must do a lot of research and fill out what seems to be a mountain of paperwork versus what gets simply handed out to those who are not even legal citizens.

Yes, life has thrown you a bad set of cards now, but all IS NOT lost. From your profile you’re in PA, get on a computer, do a Google search on “Support services and programs in Pennsylvania” and start researching your options. There are plenty, apply for anything and everything, state and federal level! Got turned down, apply again!

Assuming you have a roof over your head but can’t pay your mortgage or rent due to the job loss, that’s the least thing to worry about. Rent/Mortgage is the last thing you would be paying in a situation of extreme limited financial resources, the necessities come first. It takes months for a formal eviction to be legal and with the court systems in turmoil from CORVID-19 closings and most likely the Federal Government will be stepping in since many will be in the same predicament, you will have some extra time to get some assistance before worrying about finding a new place to live.

Are you eligible for unemployment and have you applied? Are you able to work and do you want job ideas? I'm from State College, PA and can research resources. Please let us know what you need. This virus is getting everyone down. Just making myself get up and walking my dogs in the rain gave me a boost today.

I lost 100K+ in the market, but I believe a lot of it will come back. As for the rest, it was overinflated and due for a correction. It sucks, but it's not something we can really do much about now, except trying not to sell and lock in your losses.

Can I help? You sound so down. The suicide hotline number is 1-800-273-8255. Please call them if you are feeling suicidal. I'm worried about you. Let me know how you are doing.

Do not sell - Just be patient! Markets go up and down! Live simple and get thru this! We are all here for you and this is rough times. Let this go thru and then let the market rebound- It will take about 13 months!

Money does not buy your life! You can live and be happy by living simple and as for Job get one you love!

All of us here got your back - Life sucks but you gotta enjoy what you have left in it!

Slow down. Take it one day at a time. Life is still a head. Why give up now? Somebody needs you including yourself. Peace

Say prayers, God answers. :) From one of my friends who works in health care, posted this online. I didn't want to call the number and tie up the line, but can't absolutely confirm this is true:

I am almost 8 weeks post op and I am down to 157 from 202. I have been struggling with nausea but not vomiting. Anyone else having this happen?

After having horrendous nausea I did some reading and it seems quite common. Especially if you have ruled out eating too fast/too big a mouthful. Also drinking too soon will make you feel sick. I now take 2 antiemetics to help with my nausea, hopefully yours is just that you need to slow down eating etc

agree with the above. start a log of what and when you eat/drink

Thank you. I get the nausea throughout the day and night its kind of weird.

        What state are you in????

Officially no longer over weight! Goal #1 reached! I'm now under 80kgs (176 lbs) at 179cm (5'10") and 10 months post-op and am over the moon. My weight at 79.9 kgs (176 lbs) gives me a BMI of 24.9 which means that I have a normal weight! OMG.
I still want to lose about 16 lbs more though in order to get safely into the middle range to insure against that little regain that happens. The I have maintenence in front of me as well.
BUT I have hit my first goal. Yeah me!!!

Fantastic! That's such a great goal to reach and one I hope to get to this year as well.

I had my gastric sleeve done September 10, 2020... I started out 330# before surgery.... I'm down to 260# now... I've been stalled out for over two months now.... I exercise when I can (Bad back/knees)... I follow my diet , get my protein and drink my water... But still not losing any weight... I've done everything I can think of to break the stall.... Even went back to liquid diet....  Sometimes I think this was a mistake having the surgery...

sorry to hear that don't feel down. Maybe a reset meaning something new. I am in the process of having the surgery a second time. I had Lapland in 2012 removed in 2018 and I have gained everything back and some. When I stalled on lapband I had to do something new for me I joined a free boot camp and Zumba and then boom dropped 38 pounds in 2 months. I know you said bad back and knees so find something with your limits. But I think try something new I stalled for 8 months
