Pregnancy after gastric bypass

February 5th I found out I am indeed pregnant. I’m close enough to what’s recommended (march27,2019 is my surgery date) so I don’t want any lectures. This is for the ladies who have successfully gotten pregnant after wls did you have healthy and successful pregnancies? Did you have any complications?

Hi! I got pregnant 4 months post op. Had my baby and pregnancy was a breeze. My restriction faded during pregnancy so I was able to eat more but I still dealt with dumping on certain items. Also I didnt gain any weight actually lost 27lbs. I was not considered high risk at all. I also refused for glucose drink and opted in for the finger sticks 4 times a day.

Thank you for the response? I’ve seen a lot of people get pregnant after surgery but then they stop updates so I didn’t know if everything was okay during their pregnancies. I was just thinking about what I’m supposed to do when it comes to the drink in the future ? the ginger sticks are the at home sugar level testers correct? Or is that something the doctors do? I have a tester is why I ask.
