Here are mine. This is 3 weeks and 3 days Post-OP. I picked off most of the glue starting at about two weeks as it was peeling off.20200202_225608.thumb.jpg.bba88aa8b9f18da1b80d138f40b37e3a.jpg

Was looking forward to going out and being active today. Made the mistake of putting Carys sf Syrup in my thinned cream of wheat. Abort mission ! Abort! Lol. Currently writhing in gas pain. Never bothered me before.... Lesson learned.

Woo hoo! Not gross at all, looks like you are healing very well and your face already looks thinner. Congrats!

I know this is gross but 1 week out tomorrow and I’m healing nicely- looks bad but it doesn’t hurt!!

Also check out my side by side- left is Monday night after surgery and right is yesterday! All the Fluid is gone! My glasses even got better.

Why do you both have an incision above your belly button? Just curious because I only have the five in a straight line below my belly button. My daughter had RNY and she only has five incisions in the same straight line.

Surgical preference I guess. I have 6 incisions- on just below my bra line and one about 2 inches below and to the right on my BB.

My surgery was done robotically so there is less bruising and less incision pain. There was a little bruising on the incision just to the left of belly button. That is larger incision where the removed my stomach. It has really faded in three weeks. I still have bruising from the blood thinner injections I got during my hospital stay. Those don't show up un the pic.

I have only 5 incisions in a line about an inch above my belly button. Each surgeon has there own preferences.

Here are mine. They don't look as pretty! I had staples instead of glue because the MX surgeon said the glue was not conducive for use in the high humidity. ???

So I have to incisions up high between my breast almost. Then two on the left side one on the right and then one at my belly button. The one at my belly bottom bruised extremely bad and the bruise changed a weird pink color. In the pic looks red but it’s a light pink.

Can barely see your incisions—looks great! Arnica cream helps a lot with bruising. I had massive bruises on the backs of my arms from the heparin shots and the arnica cleared them up within a few days.

I may have to try that cream. The lovenox shots bruised me so badly. I had to do them for 21 says. Tomorrow is my last day. My bruises are almost gone. The one by my belly button was the incision they removed my stomach. He tries to dot he tiniest incisions. I didn’t have bruising around any other incision only the biggest one.

Omg! I am sick with a cold :( a bad one. And no medicine is seeming to work? I know medicine gets absorbed in our bowels and not our stomach and I had the sleeve so there shouldn’t be any absorption problems should there? It just seems to not be working. The Tylenol in the medicine is helping with body aches but I can’t get my cough under control or get my mucous to dry up? It’s been over a week!!! I went to my doctor and he told me it’s a virus I told him I know it’s a virus. And I tried to explain that the OTC is not helping me dry up or lessen the cough etc and cough drops make my stomach so nauseous!!! He had no advice :/ (note this is my family doctor not my surgeon.) and my doctor made a rude comment saying well u messed with how ur body functions with the surgery what did you expect to happen. (Ahole)

Ugh! I am so sorry you are dealing with a terrible cold and your family doc is being a jerk. That comment was uncalled for, but don't let it scare you or bring you down. Where i live, there has been some junk going around, not the flu, but a very nasty virus, and it's taking people a few weeks to get over the mess!

I found this article from a place in Salt Lake about cold medications for bariatric patients: https://utahbariatrics.com/cold-and-flu-season-after-weight-loss-surgery/

Hope you feel better soon, hon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
