🍂 Nov 2019 Challenge🍂

Recommended Posts

Sorry- running late!!!

Last few days were CRAZY here! (Good crazy, though!)

Home:

Like most mentioned, that I have the luxury of having one. Something so easy to take for granted...

Bill:

While I never love paying a bill, I guess my student loan is one I am grateful for. Without the loans to go to college, I would never have been able to make up the difference in cost, even after scholarships.

Experience I am most grateful for this month:

I had a few great ones. I hit a mini goal weight and I was officially cleared to go off of my CPAP!

Thanks for the great questions and for the chance to do some reflecting this past month. :)

Day 30

Back home sweet home!! Now I can truly get back on track! Cleanish eating today but could be better.

Experience I'm most grateful for this month? Experiencing the positives that come with weight loss is pretty darn priceless! I'm feeling amazing in every aspects of my life and I am not even at goal yet. Enjoying a process rather than focusing solely on a goal has never been my stronger trait so this experience is different for me and I am entirely grateful for it!.

It's like a slow unraveling of a gift/present and you are just savoring the moment before you get to gift itself!!!

BRING Dec challenge ON!!

What am I most grateful for this month? My friends, without them I would go crazy.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
