The wonderful compression stockings

Did everyone wear their compression socks for the 2 weeks required post op ? I couldn’t stand the pain with them anymore and took them off , but wondering now if I should try them again . I’m 1 week post op

      when I was in the hospital they had those things on my legs that a machine "massages" continuously to keep blood clots from forming, but once I was out of the hospital - no. I didn't have compression

    They weren't really uncomfortable but was a pain to put back on after walking so they said I could leave them off. I generally took a stroll down the hall every time I got up to tinkle.

    I never had any compression socks either. I had the machine on my legs with the lovenox injections. I still got a blood clot, but I was in the hospital way longer than most.

    My hospital here in The Netherlands say I have to keep them on for 4 weeks. I also have the shots & take my regular blood thinner medication.
