Protein in my full liquid diet

Recommended Posts

I need advise, I have one more week of my full liquid diet and haven’t been consuming 60 grams of Protein. I am worried I will stall so soon because of this. Top it off this morning I got a Decaf coffee with cream and mocha. The sugar is high but need one good thing. Should I just throw it away? And does the protein affect weight loss ?

Get that Protein in. You can do it. It's not that hard. One Protein Shake has 25-30 g of protein, so drinking just 2 of them a day would meet your goal. The two week liquid diet isn't about losing weight, it's about healing from your surgery.

shakes need to become part of your life for a long time if you want to do this right. Get them in, there's some good options out there, you don't need to do the Premier Protein type shakes if you don't like them. Try skim or nut milk with powders. The best powders I've had are Xtend, Body Fortress and Isopure.

I agree! You may need to thin it out.. I just stayed with my pre-op Unjury shakes and powder. The Protein Shakes are now the easy part! I am not hungry enough to really do the pureed...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
