This is what I put on to go to the grocery store earlier today. It's actually a swimsuit coverup...but its the only tank-like summer dress I own that fits me at the moment (...and the "arm up" pose is to camouflage my batwing πŸ˜‰... I should walk around with my arms up all day πŸ˜‚ )

Dang woman! What a darlin' figure and great dress. Now you make me want to get to 117 so I can "have your smokin shape" lol! :D

Ok, here was yesterday's dress. I gotta say though, I feel great and thin in it, but it looks too big for me in the pics! :( And now I feel like I look frumpy in it aIMG_4490.thumb.JPG.56bdc8e1376d21b2fe55bdb3fbdc18f5.JPG

Visiting a client site today. Funny how I used to find no joy in having to choose something to wear for work, and now I almost (almost) wish I could go to office everyday so I can wear (and buy!) cute clothes.

Wearing my most favourite pair of "work" shoes...can wear these all day long AND they make me 3 inches taller (I have them in black too :) )

EDIT: OMG. I just noticed my shirt is a little too see-through in this picture...

Adorable!!! Can I be you when I grow up? :D (Or alternately, can I just lose 15 more pounds and come live in your closet? :D )

It's not that see-through. You look super sleek. Love it!

POD-doctor's outfit. :)

So seriously--damn you body dysmorphia. At 133lbs I "feel" thin in my body. You know? Or at least normal. I can now look in the mirror and think I just simply look normal. Right? But when I look at these pics in outfits I used to feel thin in, I think I look heavier than when the jeans were on the tight side. They are now on the loose side of life and I need to go down to an 8 in them. And my waist looks so "thick" (and clearly so do my fluffy thighs). *sigh* Anyone else have this issue even in their super hot outfits?

@FluffyChix, yep you definitely have your MO glasses on. The person in these pics is positively SKINNY.

I'm not sure I always have my own glasses on, but I think I convinced myself I know exactly what I look like, and recognize what areas of my bod could use some improvement and what areas are awesome. The main difference is that I don't seem to have the associated self-loathing I carried around on my back like before. I mean, yeah, my arms are flabby*, my legs are thick and my butt non-existent, but these facts don't bring me down so far anymore. They are annoying, but no longer depressing.

*full disclosure, I am getting plastics to address my batwings EOY so my laissez-faire attitude about them may be taken with a grain of salt.

Looks like I need people around to complete a 10K.Β  I tried to do one by myself this afternoon and I gave up at around the 7km mark.Β  Gonna try again on Friday, but I may have to look into joining a running club...

My Surgeon asked me a question the other day and i didn't give it a lot of thought at the time.
      He asked "do you tell"
we were talking about peoples reaction to seeing me since i lost such a large amount of me.
I answered that i do tell if they ask but that it seems most everyone is afraid to mention it if they haven't seen me inΒ a while or they decided they already know the answer so they don't need the truth from me (we all know those types)
I have had exactly one family friend come right out and ask me how i lost so much weight this year and i told herΒ i had Gastric Sleeve.
I am sure family has passed it around to other family (you have that type family don't you?Β or is it just me) Β
So that left me wondering "do you tell" and i dont mean right at surgery time. more like a year or so down the road do you say how or do you just say cut out the sugar and carbs and WAALAA
Its a real personal choice to open yourself up to that kind of criticism and we know all about how we took the "Easy" way and yada yada yada.
hope everyone is having a great week

If people ask, I am open about it

      2. ms.sss

I'm about 10 months post op, and my standard answer is I eat way less and exercise way more (oh, and I cut the carbs by a lot). The only people I told were Mr., the Kid, BFF and my Mom.

People know cuz my sissies have big mouths. And when skinny peeps ask out of morbid curiousity and they are "related" somehow to me, I look at em and arch my eyebrow and smile like, WTF? Then I just shrug and say, "I can neither confirm nor deny." (I've practiced this in the mirror many times. LOL!)

But today, I was talking to a lady in my oncologist's office and she said "Oh don't you love you Surgeon X - bariatric surgeon? I'm in her weigh loss program!" And so I really opened up to her and talked frankly about the program and the surgery and details and how I'm so much happier and healthier, etc. So there has to be a real genuine need and desire for comraderie--otherwise, "Bye Felicia..."
