I know what you mean about celebrity products @ms.sss. Have you seen how much the Rock pushes his tequila & energy drink on Instagram? I’d unfollow him but his posts with his daughter are gosh darn cute. Mind you friends & I bought Bill Murray’s vodka. We have a bit of a soft spot for Bill but the main reason was the skull head it came in. I mean I haven’t drunk vodka in decades.

How about some alcohol fridge porn. The fruit & vege drawers are full of champagne cause what else would you keep in them. Lol! Bill’s skull is behind the Hendrix’s gin. Actually. I might need to restock. There’s a few empty spots.

Guess what I’ve been doing today? Yep, Mother of the Bride dress shopping again. My friend loves the dress we found except for the round neck which I can understand. No luck at all today & we’ve exhausted all the well known & lesser known labels. She’s becoming depressed about it. Everything is either waisted (which she can’t do cause of her body shape), round necked, wrong colours, too short.... Sigh.

I knew it! I. KNEW. IT. You and i will get along marvellously IRL. 😂😇😎

When you go through your stash, you can add them to our empties collection: LOLOLOL You can see a few empties of bottles of that wine I posted earlier...

(This is the accumulation since about mid-January...and no, I did not do this all by myself)

That’s the trick. Always blame others for doing all the drinking in the house. 😂😂😂

My pxt didn’t include my gin stash either. I keep the gin in my everyday fridge ... for easy access 😆. Mind you I’m lucky if I have a drink once a month now & only when socialising. If we were together, I’m sure there’d be plenty of ‘socialising’.

I just some how knew.... and yes, always take others down with you... I will admit to have at least one a night. My wonderful husband has it ready when i walk through the door after work. Well he is traveling this week so i had to make my own..... the horror.... hehe I'm a slave to the martini glass, and margarita glass, and the wine glass... well hell, any glass that has a cocktail in it.

So funny, when we were a the liquor store, I saw that bottle of vodka and thought how cool it was and that we we should get one in every colour. Had no idea it was a Bill Murray one.

OOTD bar edition. 😬

I will not participate in the fridge porn edition as my refrigerator is always messy. It definitely does not compare to @ms.sss’s pristine version 😂

OMG, thats a bar alright! I looove your bar rags ("sh*it show, lol) and coasters, and napkins, and your painted brick wall!!! Is this in a sunroom?

P.S. I didn't realize how many potential BFF's I had on here....first round's on me.

Lol! My mother (who rarely swears) likes to buy me sassy bar rags and cocktail napkins. I would post a pic of them all, but I don’t want to offend anyone with all of the swear words. 😂

This is in my dining room and the brick is the back of the fireplace. Our dining room is surprisingly big in a moderately sized house.

ps. I agree with you about BFF’s galore here. We should have a cocktail party where everyone serves their “specialty.” I make a very good, but dangerous margarita. 😂😂😂

These pxts of our alcohol stashes are fabulous. Don’t feel nearly as guilty now - tee hee!

I love a good cocktail napkin. Your mum is the best @WishMeSmaller.

I love a good martini. Gin of course & plenty of olives - gotta get your daily serve of fruit in. A friend used to make a pretty mean chocolate martini but he’s in Denmark now - waah! And there used to be a great little cafe/restaurant in Brisbane that made a to die for lychee martini too. So good! And I so do enjoy the salty goodness of a margarita.

Ok @WishMeSmaller, @BayougirlMrsS & @ms.sss we just need to find a date for our cocktail party.

Welcome @dms75. Hope to see lots more of your posts. We do go off on tangents sometimes,, like fridge shots, here sometimes but it adds to the fun.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
