I also cut my hair off on my sons birthday, just needed a change to get me through it. I took 7 inches off. It looks much better now that I learned to style it.

Lopping off inches of hair can be quite traumatic, no? This style flatters your face shape and makes you neck look long...plus it puts your fab clavicles on display!

P.S. If you tell me your hair is naturally that curly I will cry self-centred tears.

This cut looks really good on you. It’s a nice length and shape!

OOTD: hair Edition!

A milestone of sorts today...2 years after cutting off my hair into a pixie, my hair is finally long enough to all be put in a bun! Well, two buns...its not quite long enough to put in just one, lol.

Buns were my hairstyle of choice when I had long hair, and the bun "donuts" where my fave bun accessory.

I realize I look like an anime character, but whatevs, my hair is in a bun(s)!

Ooooo hair edition 🤩 such a cute classic 90’s style

Your hair cut is lovely @Lynda486 I’m jealous. I’d love to have those gorgeous waves of yours. I have to sleep in plaits or twists like Ms.SSS did to get any kinks in mine. Sigh.

Lookin’ hot @JMJames92.

Spent two days Mother of the Bride dress shopping with a a girlfriend whose daughter is getting married in about 8 weeks. (The wedding was postponed from September last year - thanks COVID.) Oh my God. So difficult to find something that’s not boringly conservative or too young, shirt or revealing that still has a soft beach’s vibe. It’s a beach wedding on a island resort of the coast of Queensland. Think @MarvelGirl25 is on to the right idea with eloping. I haven’t offered to go shoe shopping with my friend though I did find some pretty sandals with brushed gold & silver straps with a touch of fuschia online that might work with the dress.

We ended up choosing this dress. I think we did pretty well.

I don't want to make you cry but it is true :) It was a bit traumatic, but I have grown to really like it. Thanks!

Definitely island beach appropriate....I can imagine it flowing in the breeze. So what are YOU going to wear??

My resale shop find!
I love it but thinking maybe it could look a little Pajama-ish?

I like the colour palette, but its waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big on you! Looks to me you need something 3 or 4 sizes smaller.

Yes I got a thumbs down from my two sisters too. It was a large. Plus stripes aren’t usually very flattering on me.

Can still be salvageable though, if u can’t exchange...cut into shorts/romper? With a wide belt to tuck in the extra fabric pooling at the sides of the torso away?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
