So this is a VICTORY!

When I first got this dress in mid-September, I was so psyched bc a medium fit me and I proudly wore it
Well, it’s been in my closet un worn for a few weeks and the difference is AMAZING.

I’ve only lost 11 pounds between the 2 dates.
The left side is today, the right was from about 7 weeks ago.

Ok ... this is a whole different ball game! Way more complex then swapping out some implants!!

The only advice I have is put a blindfold on Mr. F, if that is what it takes, and have yourself a proper workout 🤣

HAHAHAHAAHA! IKR? Pretty much MASSIVE amounts of alcohol would need to be involved and then I'd pass out before the deed was done! LOL :) But I know we will figure it all out! TY for listening and helping!!

...you know you don't have to be totally nekkid to get a workout in... ;)

For instance, this is what I wear to bed every night these days. I'm frickin' cold and refuse to take all this off and freeze my ass off for cardio! So just the bare minimum comes off, and sometimes only just pushed aside a little... LOLOLOLzzzz

Yes! Exactly! Somewhere in essential 3-5 lbs I've lost an entire size and a half. Things just bag off me! It's so surreal! I can't even figure out the science behind it cuz we're not supposed to be able to be able to have anabolism and catabolism simultaneously. That's why body builders bulk then cut, and bulk and cut. Right?

Okay so seriously if you figure that out I need to know!

Holy smokes you’re teeny-tiny now.

Gosh so sorry to be MIA! I continue to be so inspired by each one of you and this thread always brings a smile to my face, no matter how difficult the day may be!!! You all look GORGEOUS!!!! And love the fashion inspiration!
Took some pics for a meeting last week. Here's the latest. 20.5mo PO RNY. 130.2lbs Maintenance.
IMG_5084.thumb.JPG.831c6d4aae0eec1a8160478de43d191a.JPG IMG_5085.thumb.JPG.1ceb5c105f22ac61dc57500d90873fce.JPG
My body may have decided to defend a lower set point rather than the 135lbs that I thought it was happy at. I have lost and gained the same 2-5lbs from 130-135lbs for a while now. Just last week I briefly saw 129lbs. Now after a big weekend of fun and frivolity, I came back at only 130.2lbs--which means I may be 2lbs lighter by Friday.
I'm not hatin' on that--honestly. I have wanted to reach my super triple top secret BDG Goal since I started this process. But when it didn't look like I would ever hit my 130lbs goal, I kinda released that into the ether and called maintenance at 135lbs revised goal.
Then I hit 130lbs and revised the revised goal back to 130lbs. But now it looks as if I might actually make 125lbs (super triple top secret Barbie Dream Girl Goal). I'm pretty thrilled at this weight and I love how I look in clothes these days (or at least I'm moving in that direction). My gigantor turkey thighs are slightly less pronounced now. And I asked Mr. F. if he thought I looked too thin or sickly. He said that I didn't. He's very honest and objective, so I know I can go to him as a touchstone with reality.
I bought 3 pairs of size 8 skinny jeans from goodwill this weekend. And I'm actually in between a 6 and an 8--oddly so. The legs fit, but the the little bit of belleh skin doesn't let me fasten them. Wah. Oh well.
I saw my plastics dude last Friday. A bit of a buzz kill. He told me my insurance wouldn't cover the saggy droopy booty, even though it was giving me significant issues. He did say that I have very very little excess fat on my body - as he was looking at me totes nekkidy and that he didn't want me to lose any more. Of course I lied and said, "Swearsies! I'm not plannin' on it!" (wink wink nudge nudge saynomore...)
He still says that I need to wait on my capular contractures in the reconstructed foobs. But he wants me to consider getting nerp tats so I look more like a real gingerbread girl--and less like a Skipper Doll (Barbie's younger annoying kid sister--anotomically incorrect and lacking a kung fu grip). Still chewing on that one. Don't know what to do with that information yet.
Sorry for the book!!! [emoji20]
Holy Moly you look fantastic! I'm especially envious of your legs. Wow!

Traveling... Broke the collar/neck of my favorite coat as I was walking out the door. No time to fix it so I'll be wearing the new one and see how I feel about it.

OOTD: Before and after pics from the gym today (I really just wanted to take a pic in my new fave jean jacket, hence the after pic, LOL).

Note to self: when feeling less than stellar, put on something tight to remind you where you are, and something big to remind you how far you've come.

I bought these rain boots 7 years ago when I was way bigger. My skinny gal pals had these boots and I soooo wanted a pair but I couldn't fit my ginormous calves into them. So when I found out they came in extra-wide calf, I was all over it. But my calf still wouldn't fit into the extra-wide calf size 7 boot. So I got a size 8.5. I gained more weight after and they ended up in the basement.

Fast forward to today, and I'm back in 'em. My foot has also since shrunk to a size 6 so I'm swimming in these babies now. BFF said I should just go get a regular pair that fit me, but I have a strange attachment to them, regardless of how ridiculously clown-looking they look on my feet. Go Figure.

Here's a close up of how much room I've got in there now.

This is what happens when you lose 7.5 inches in circumference there. Ca-Ray-Zee.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
