Do you know your bougie size?

One thing I wish I would have asked my Dr. before my surgery is what bougie size he was using for my sleeve. My restriction seems really good but it would be nice to know what size he used and I will be bringing it up at my next visit. Do you guys know yours?

I never asked about mine.

I never asked mine. As another poster said there are lots of variables. I am pleased with my surgery and the success I've been having with my weight lost journey.

And 99,99/100ths Surgeon's give you the perfect size to help you live your life and lose the optimum amount you need. Its like the perpetual thread over on the Bypass side of Bariatric Surgery.
HOW LONG IS YOUR BYPASS LENGTH? I always tell them- Just Long Enough that You Get Maximum Benefits and Short Enough that You Don't Suffer from Raging Malnourishment. Always do take your Surgeon's Advice; He or She are Professionals, been in the Business for a While and tend to know what things will work BEST for YOU!❤

What it is , the surgeon puts down into your stomach this catheter, they call it a bougie, measured in increments called French, average one about as thick as your thumb, in most cases about a 30 French or above. Has a patient rip out a 30 French urinary catheter, Yee-ouch still pains me to think about IT! Last urinary one I had was a 15 or 16 F, so about half as thick and I was ready to promise ANYTHING, maybe even offer up my First- Born to get that neoprene rascal Out Out Out! Please, I'll take myself to the BR every 15 minutes, please Please please? So I have pity on Anyone who has That kind of Plumbing Assistance!💦

Now you have something new to ask your Dr. That is if you care to know 😊

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
