❤ MAY 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Recommended Posts

Outside was not in the cards today, it has been cold and wet here. I did walk from my car to the gym!

B side. Boating of any kind, softball, hanging around a fire pit and going for a walk at night in a big city.

Current weight: 249

3 mos post op (losing)

my goals: same as last month although I was 1lb shy -

1) lose 10 lbs

2) continue riding my stationary bike every day

3) go for as many walks outdoors as I can before it gets too hot

4) continue to look for new recipes to add to my repertoire

5) take care of my physical, mental and spiritual needs so I can best care for those IN my care

challenge day #1) go outside. It was so gorgeous here today it would’ve been hard NOT to

Good luck to all of us this month 👍🏻

Crappy, cold, rainy day today. The only outside time I got was walking to and from car to wherever I had to go and home.

B-Side Question: Favorite outdoor activities?

I have 2 answers.
1. I love messing around in my garden.
2. I have a swimming pool.
Sadly the pool hasn’t been opened yet and we’ve been suffering cold days, but by this time
next month I’ll be lounging poolside on days off

Day 2:

  • 5 REGULAR (!) push ups done. So I may not have gone down far enough for my liking, but I did get my elbows to 90 degrees at least, so in my book, those are regular push ups. 😎
  • Make some art: need to think about this one....

Happy May Day #2

  • Did my pushups today, did an extra one because I was so proud I could do 5!🤣
  • Make some art. Mmmmm, on that one. I am definitely challenged in that area. I have some leftover Easter dye. Maybe I'll dye some eggs and eat them. Gotta get that Protein in, right!!

2. Make some art. It's not visual art but I did write a sketch for my writing class before work this morning so I'm counting that as my art for the day. Tonight is weight day followed by Yoga so I know I won't have the energy to create something when I get home.

B-Side: Favorite outdoor activity is running. I hate running on a treadmill but love it if I can do it outdoors.

Thursdays are also my weekly weigh-in day. I'm down another 3 pounds which is a great way to kick off this challenge. 9 more pounds to go by the end of the month.

Day 2 - Make some art. My creativity takes two directions... cooking for my family (thankfully the wee-lings are adventurous eaters) and writing. I'm planning on a bit of both today. Making a casserole for the freezer for post op and I'm going to do a little work on my romance novel that I've been plugging away at since last fall.

5 push ups and one (of three) walking workout done.

The attached is the view out our bedroom window at 2am. I'm quite ready for this nonsense to stop.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
