Losing Insurance Used For Sleeve

Hello everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone has input on my situation or has gone through the same thing?

I am 7 weeks out. I was sleeved under my Blueshield insurance (I technically have double coverage with Blueshield and UHC). I will be losing my Blueshield insurance at the end of April and I'm afraid if some kind of complication occurs after that my UHC insurance won't cover. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this?

Thanks in advance!

You'd have to check your specific UHC policy. Bariatrics are usually an "add-on" to the policies that employers choose to allow for their employees or not.

I know my current uhc does not have bariatric coverage which is why I did not initially use the insurance to get the sleeve but I’m wondering more about any complications that may come about in the future
