Sleeved 2/22... 7 days post-op and only down 9 lbs. feeling a little doubtful on this weight loss journey.

When doubts come in I send them out. 9 lbs is wonderful. Be patient. It's more then numbers. You got this! Keep up the good work.

I was also had sleeve surgery on the 19th. I am down 20 lbs. I know what you mean about the Jello and pudding, but for me it is yogurt and Protein shakes!! I am loving the egg drop Soup though. Homemade or takeout, though I have to say takeout is the best. Poached eggs and cottage cheese and pineapple pureed are also up on my list!

I tried the egg drop Soup (takeout) and I was surprised that it didn't upset my stomach. Oddly enough I'm struggling with the Protein Shakes and yogurt. BTW I had the sleeve on the 19th.

cocoakp2 did the egg drop Soup have corn? Here it seems they all have corn, carrots and possibly peas. I’m not so clear on whether or not that qualifies as ok. I’m afraid to mess up. So far both has really upset my stomach but I’m trying to be good and not completely ignore rules. 😃

I start them tomorrow. I bet they get tiresome quick? can you add unflavored Protein with fruits, greens etc. I've heard avacado is good.

Dont ignore the rules[emoji1]No corn or any other veggies. Seems to have eggs in a slightly thickened soup.

I was sleeved 2/20. The first 6 days were miserable (gas). Finally feeling human again but already stalling on the scale, which is very frustrating considering how little I'm eating. Surgery day weight was 272, came home at 279 thanks to the fluids. Today (and yesterday) I am 262. That just seems so low for just 2 weeks post-op!

I was sleeved on the 25th and so far so good. Very little pain from the start, can get everything down. Following instructions to a tee. Can see progress but haven’t weighed (personal choice). I have one major concern. Before the procedure my vision was 20/13 in both eyes. Have always had crazy good vision. I can’t read a label now unless it’s at arms length. The closer things get to my eyes the blurrier it becomes. Anything further than arms length is perfect, no issues. I’m concerned whether this is a temporary side effect or permanent. I haven’t seen anyone else mention this problem yet.

I am at 3 weeks post open today and feeling really well. I am in the mushies phase and not having too many issues. I have to really focus on chewing well and slowing down. Otherwise I'm in pain and the foaming occurs. I went into a stall at my 2nd week and finally after 8 days may be beginning to move the scale. 21 days and only 11 pounds lost. I had this surgery at the suggestion of several specialists due to abnormal cells on my liver which were also removed. I also had my gallbladder removed in December. The lap sleeve for me is a tool that I will use to not continue to yo yo which sickens my liver. I need to remember that and try not to focus so much much on the losses. But it is so hard after being told over and over that I will lose 30-50 lbs in 3 months.

Sleeved 2/20. . . 11 pounds for me - not impressed considering I'm only eating the equivalent of 1 yogurt a day! : ) I guess we have to just trust the process and know that it may be a slow loss for some of us, which could be a good thing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
