LBS In Ft Worth Texas?

Has anybody had the surgery performed by Dr. Adam Smith or Dr. Craig Farrara at the LBS Center for Bariatrics in Ft. Worth? My husband and I went to their seminar last weekend and are very excited about the possibilities, but don't know much about the doctors. If anyone has any success stories or general info on your experience with them (good or bad please!!), I would appreciate hearing it! Thanks!

HEY TOMECIA!! How are you doing girlie!!! May I ask why they made you pay a 100 dollars... was this some sort of co-pay... Also are you back to work yet or still home??

yeah my insurance was 90/10 meaning I had to pay 10% my max out of pocket was 1400.00 so I have to pay hospital 1400.00 for the surgery they allowed me to pay them that 100.00 a month til the 1400.00 is paid off. that was so cool............

Are you ready to go back ?? How are you feeling ?? Does your port site hurt at all ?? How do the scars look... LOL sorry to bum rush you tried to send you a private message but it said that you wouldn't except it :)

I am so ready to go back to work I only had bad gas pains for the first 2 days I was 95% as of day 4 but stayed out because I didn't want to be on all liquid diet at work. my port area itches but don't hurt I am a little hungry but I think its head hungry because my belley feel all the time I have loss 10 pound since 12/07/07 I can't see the incision because of this tape they have of them the DR. will remove on 12/20/07 for post opt appointment . I AM TRYING TO FIX THAT PM THING

Oh well i am happy to hear that you are doing well... the tape doesn't come off in the shower. Do the scars hurt in the shower or bath ... CONGRATS on your 10 pounds!!! Whats your goal weight ??

the tape does not come off in the shower, scars don't hurt but I was still scared to sleep on them til a few nights ago I do want a bodybugg to help monitor my weight loss but right now they are just too expensive I am planing to wait til it gets back down to aleast 199-249.99 I think that would be a great idea, can't start really start any exercise til 4 weeks can't wait now with some of the weoght gone it want hurt to walk for long periods of time my overall goal is to me 200lbs I am 5'10 I was that weight in high school a size 12

I am actually moving to TX ... U R tall like me I am 5'9 and my goal is 180. But I would love to be 200... I will be in Fort Hood TX ... I am currently in NJ ... my husband is military so... They where we have been stationed don't know how far that is from you. But I am waiting to have my surgery done here at the beginning of the year so that my insurance will cover it. I also got a flexible spending acct just in case I have a co-pay or anything like you did. But I will DEFINETELY be looking for a SERIOUS, MOTIVATED, NO BS OR GAMES workout buddy!!

awesome:bounce: I just moved here last year I just know how to get to work and back home so not sure how far fort hood is from here. I don't know many people here so I can use a support . when r u getting banded

oh ok ... where did you move from ... did you move there all alone. LOL that will probably be me ... just to work and back LOL. I am hoping for a January date ... I picked the easiest insurance to get approved by my BMI is 50! And I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. She is submittind my paper work January 2nd!! So hopefully sooner than later.

I currently have Aetna but I switched from them for the new year cause they wanted me to wait 6 months and I wasn't tryin' to hear that sh!t!! If I risk not getting this surgery than I will be another 50 pounds heavy. With this PCOS i gained a whopping 20 pounds in 2 months!!! :) sickening!!
