1 week to go and feeling slightly lost

So I have one week to go until my revision from Band to RNY. I have been toldnot to do a preop diet but just to stick to clean eating!!

I am extremely happy about that and could have kissed the NUT when she told me that as I remember how awful the preop was before my band. But do you know how confusing clean eating is?

Yes I know I need to steer away from processed foods and added sugars but apart from that there are so many different variations. I haven’t been told no carbs but I am trying to keep those to a minimum ( except veg). I’ve also given up alcohol. Hopefully that is enough!

I always think of clean eating as eating things that don't have ingredients but that ARE ingredients. Lean meats, fruits and veggies, milk and unprocessed *real* cheeses. Things you find on the perimeter of the grocery store and not in the aisles.

I also had no pre op diet, but your girl did one anyways!!!! I needed a jump-start, a transition and I felt a little more accomplished (but... I was not a revision)

Countdown time!!!!

Yay!!!!???

So clean eating...I'd TOTALLY drop all white things (sugar, rice, potatoes, pasta, carby breads) and caffeine/diet drinks. I would rather have a week of misery now before I deal with pain than doing it all at the same time. I'd do keto/low carb. I probably would have started that 3 weeks ago, but you can still make a difference in 1 week.

Good luck girl!!!
