February 2019 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Hey there 4 days post op. Only sign of me having had a surgery is
Tight and sore belly and the cold I caught in the hospital. I am able
To drink normally (not chug) and eat entire yogurt in one sitting. I had a total meltdown yesterday thinking that surgery didn’t work because I was “starving” and everything was going down so easily. My dietician and an Ativan helped me through lol she taught me about head hunger but it literally felt so real. Have 21 days left of full liquids with puréed fruit. Ready to take on some chicken or egg salad!
Wow 21 days of full liquids ? That's a long time.. my dietitian has me on a different regime. Day of surgery nothing but Water, then 1st day clear fluids. Then Day 2 to 7 full fluids and then it progresses. My surgery is Feb 26 I'm on my second week if the pre op diet.. and so far so good the hunger pangs are gone. Only issue with my is I can't wait to be able to eat something other then my shakes.

You got this CocoakP2! You will do great! Just breath deep and keep your focus on the future. I’ve said a prayer for you, keep us posted! I’m still scheduled for Thursday.
@Elsy everything went well. I will be discharged tomorrow. Could've left today, but I asked to stay til tomorrow... I am enjoying the treatment and iv meds[emoji1] I'm very sore at one invcision & my tummy is kinda swollen. Bending and lifting is not much of an option. Overall, I'm grateful for a successful pro edure. Looking forward to an even better recovery... Especially concerning this gas[emoji30]

My surgery is on Sunday 24th Feb, I was too excited but now I'm getting multiple weird feelings ... especially that my family and work colleagues are talking me on not doing the surgery ...

It just annoys me that people are now saying "He's taking a shortcut" ... "He's not trying hard enough" ... "He's just lazy"

I will only get 1 week rest before I head back to work, based on some people's experience would I need a longer rest? and what would it feel like within the first week and on full liquid diet?

Sami, you’re not doing this for them, this is for YOU. People will always say what they want. If you live your life according to the naysayers, you’ll never be happy. YOU’ve got this!! I had my surgery Monday & can’t imagine having to go back to work, but I’m an elementary school teacher. It takes a few days to get the scheduling down of how & when to eat for your post-op diet.

Monday the 25th for me, too. Can we make a Facebook group or something? I don’t love this forum style.

That's a great idea! My son is a Houston transplant.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
