RNY gastric bypass scheduled for December 17th

It seems like it's been forever since I started this journey back in April of this year but I'm happy to announce that I will finally be able to consider myself post-op after December 17th. Fingers crossed, hopefully my blood work and pre-op physical turn out good and everything goes as planned. Wish me luck!

Congrat Ed! I'm so freakin' Jelly! When do you start the liquid diet?

Thanks, My surgeon only requires a one day full liquid diet but I have to continue a restricted calorie diet between now in my surgery date.

Congratulations! Wonderous, life changing news :) I found out today that I have my surgery on December 27th. My surgeon requires 2 weeks of a high protein diet and 2 days on liquid.

Congratulations to you as well! I might do 2 days liquid too just to make sure everything goes well.

ONE day, that's it?!!? :D

The funny thing is, from the time I attended the class in July until now, the dieting and prep requirements have gotten less strict. They were requiring a colonoscopy style bowel cleansing. I wasn't looking forward to that. LOL
