November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Recommended Posts

I had the same thing with the burps. It got better after a few days. I even vomited in the hospital, which made me pee all over my bed and myself. That was fun calling the nurse for. Just keep an eye out. Do the breathing exercise. It will pass!

I’ve been having avocado and chew up chicken really good. Also boil eggs and mash it up with a little bit of olive oil mayo. I had beef stew lol just beef and chewed it up really good. tuna with olive oil mayo. Yea That’s about it for me so far and feeling fine.
Have you felt that uncomfortable feeling in your sternum?

Thank you! I’m trying to push through it. I don’t want to keep feeling weak.

Hi everyone! I’m trying to catch up on everyone’s posts. I’m on page 39 now. I was sleeved on nov 27 and am still really tired. I’m also super sad and not sure why. I’m questioning why I did this to myself.
Same here.. last night I was kicking myself in the behind. Wondering why did I have to go through all of this. Why couldn’t I just eat healthier. But I knew it was not going to change, and this is a tool to help us! Keep your head up. ❤️

Thereamtz, I am going through something similar. I was sleeved on 11/28 and I dealt with a very sore throat the first couple of days. That has gotten better. I am still burping everytime I drink, and I am not able to get more than 12 ounces of liquids in. Hopefully it will get better soon. I will say that walking had seemed to help a lot. I hope you stay to feel better soon.

Hi everyone, new to this site! I was sleeved on 11/19/18. My energy is coming back & I’m able to drink & eat my puréed foods without the feeling in my sternum, but struggling to get the full 64 oz in. I think my biggest struggle is that I feel fine & have to remind myself I still cannot eat yet. I miss chewing!

I have my 2 week appointment coming up on Wednesday. I’m just curious, I look through all my paperwork and all I seen is no solid food until after 14 days. I thought the purée stage was next? Or is every doctor different?

If we could have done it on our own, we would have! It would have been a lot easier. I NEED the restriction. Although I did go through a day of "what the heck did I do", I know I would still be 265 lbs and adding if I didn't do something.

Can I just suck on a vegetable or something!?! Lmao this is unnatural 😂

We’ll survive girls! Glad I found this forum. I’m in some FB groups and some people are rude and judgmental. Well I’ve taken my pain meds and I’m going to try and rest. Hope tomorrow is a pain free day, for all of us. ♥️ goodnight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
