Had surgery 8.16 and now going into week 3 I’ve hit a stall, lost 18 lbs and haven’t lost anything! Does anyone know how long it will last , or what to do to get rid of the stall?! :(

  • My three week stall has lasted about 2.5 weeks so far, not breaking yet. This is from my NUT: Plateaus are common even after weight loss surgery and they often will happen at points where your bo

  • Stalls are the most frustrating part of this journey but also a necessary evil so our bodies can adjust. 18lbs is a major loss in this amount of time so try not to be too mad at your body, as it just

I so appreciate having these forums and having so much feedback!! I’m 3 weeks and 3 days post op and have lost 23.4lbs. However i have been at the same weight for a week and 2 days... it’s extremely frustrating and of course I doubt myself , my actions, and my choices for having the surgery. I’m hoping this breaks and find comfort in posts form others fact experienced Lengthy stalls at the start and came out on the other side!

Me too 3 weeks and 2 days post op and I lost 13 lbs the first week but now only 2 more in the last 2 weeks. I join everyone in how frustrating that is. I keep on telling my husband...”how can I not be losing weight? I am not eating hardly anything. How is that even physically possible”. I am so very glad to see I am not alone. I have not been sleeping enough and am stressed to the max at work so I will try to get some sleep tonight and see if I can break this thing!

I had a stall for almost 4 weeks and im only 3 months post op and the scale moved down 5 lbs in ONE DAY. I was shocked and so happy! Dont lose hope like i did just keep going. ?

I had my surgery on the 8th August and I too lost weight pre surgery and since my surgery I lost 16lbs in the first 2 weeks but for the last 2 weeks I have lost nothing and it is so discouraging as I have stuck to the plan.
Also feeling very nauseous every day
Any suggestions for the sickness?

It was hard to get my liquids in too its STILL hard to drink water and to drink shakes. I'm making a goal starting this week to get my vitamins in protein in because I have goals that I want to reach. I feel the same way its hard but there is support.

I had vsg May 15th. I’ve lost 72 lbs. however I have stalled several times for weeks at a time. Ignore the scale numbers. I’m shocked to see I’ve lost 72 lbs after ignoring scale. I’m losing weight so slow now. I do spin class 3 to 5 days a week and lift weights. I’m lucky if I loose 1lb a week. It does come off eventually.
