Hey Yvonne the gas will make you hurt like that. Get chewable gas-x. That is what I had to do and it worked!!! Chew 2 of the tablets and get relief from that pain. God Bless.

Surgery was on the 16th! Down 12lbs since surgery, 30 total since pre-op diet.

First 2 days, I was miserable. Felt like a human 1 week after.

Having a heck of a time with the Bariatric Fusion shakes...they make me want to vomit instantly. Already starting to eat turkey and chicken (very small, thoroughly chewed pieces) and Beans. Wondering what everyone else is doing and how you're tolerating different foods? Hope everyone is doing well and you're happy!

Hi byefat! I was able to have blended Soups with my Protein Shakes. I made black bean Soup with Bone Broth. I also got a delicious lentil Soup at Trader Joe’s and blended it up. It was very satisfying. Also, I took a can of progress low fat chicken noodle and blended that with some unflavored Protein powder. It was so tasty! I found I wanted salty way more than sweet stuff! Good luck!

Ordered my Protein Powder today ;) thanks!!!

I’m not feeling very happy right now... I got my sleeve October 24th 2018 and it’s been a rough couple of days.. I didn’t expect to be so nauseas for so long medicine helped but still felt like a lot of days ...

Hey Vicky, I was sleeved 10/23. I had the nausea real bad too and still do if I take my Vitamin. Tomorrow I get to start the Soup phase, so I will retry the Vitamins then. Nothing is worse than nausea, imho NOTHING. So sorry you are going through that. My surgeon prescribed me chewable nausea pills, and even suppositories if it got bad. I haven't turned to those yet and do not intend to, lol. But if yours is that bad, there are more options/help for you and you should call and ask for something better for relief. Hang in there, my friend!!!!!

Yeah, it's like my body wants Protein from actual food. These shakes are just awful! I know I need to get it in somehow. Glad it's going down so easily!!!

Officially down 20 pound since surgery (10/2)!! I've been feeling good. Still dealing with Water intake and exhaustion. Also learning how to overcome some mental obstacles such as putting myself in food oriented situations but not eating. I technically get cleared for all food tomorrow but still not fully comfortable with the pureed stage, so I don't see myself moving along quite yet. I hope all my fellow early October sleevers are doing well!

Who is going into the Soup stage? Sleeved 10/23 and tomorrow is the big day for something besides a gross Protein Shake. What do you have figured out for Soups? Any easy homemade ones?

Amy’s Soups are great blended. My favorite was the golden lentil. :)

Hi Yessican! Any kind of surgery is scary for sure! For me, the benefits of having the surgery far outweighed the “possible” complications. Best of luck to you!

Hi danieocean! I had surgery on the 16th too! Just starting to eat soft food. I’ve never been so happy to chew! Lol

Last night I made the ricotta bake. It was delicious! I think I didn’t eat slow enough and it was quite uncomfortable though. I also tried tuna fish and that went down ok.

I’m down 14 pounds since surgery and almost 30 since I started the post op diet on October 2. I love the results so far!

Best of luck to you!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
