Hi again @whitedragonruth, an update. Since my surgery on September 5th I have lost(never to be found again) 22.5 pounds. I did it, could not without my surgery, and still hoping to be "less of a woman " than today but I have broken the 300 pound barrier so now in two-for-ville and heading toward one-derland , a destination many of us yearn for. Come join me when you can!

@Frustr8 Congratulations! That is awesome, you passed me...my surgery was on 8/29/18 I lost 20 lbs really quick (the first 2 1/2 weeks) then another 1
and now stalling and I’m ok with that because I’m sticking to the plan. Besides I think 21 lbs is great for 5 1/2 weeks.

I’m so happy for you...keep it up and I will too 😊

Oh it is and I am equally proud of you, Wanda. Tomorrow I see my surgeon Dr Needleman and then Friday I am supposed to have an EGD to find out why pouch won't accept purees, I upchuck every time I try. Thought I had a firm ride, but she had a conflict and can't do it. Has to take her husband to a specialist that day. Now if my other 2 transports can't do it, I'm not sure what to do. I really need that test badly or I fear I will progress no further. I am at a standstill ,one could say.

EGD will on for Friday, if I had cancelled.I would be SO out of luck. They are now booking elective procedures into Thanksgiving, and it's possible not until January 2019. Do I want another 2-3 months of bland.runny tasteless flop and slip? Don't think So! People ask does THIS scare me? Nope this will be my 3rd since June 2015, I'm in the USA where I get to go Sleepy'-'Bye, at least that's better than some places in Europe where they sit you upright in a dental chair, spray some numbing solution in your mouth and do it while you are fully conscious. Now THAT would be scary!

Honestly, I have to throw it away because I’ll keep picking.

I had same issues but do the following to try n stop:
1. I order kid portions so I don’t have a lot of leftovers
2. I keep reminding myself all that I went through to get this done
3. I remind myself of how my life was before surgery
4. I don’t want to stretch my ouch out
5. I think about all the medical issues I can have if I keep eating

My dr told me to start drinking some of my Protein Drink n Water 30 mins before I eat to stop me from feeling so hungry which leads to eating more than I should.

Shut last night I ate a McDonalds small fry and then a double cheese burger but left a corner. I ate it all within 30 minutes. I didn’t even feel bad about what I had done nor did I get sick. We all have weak moments. You just can’t make these weak moments a daily part of your life. Now moving forward, I know that since I slipped I have get back on track for at least a week as a goal then I push to 2 weeks of appropriate eating n so on.

OH NeversayNever and group, HE355, lost 15 pounds the month of August, and 24 since my surgery on September 5th. When I ended up on October 1st in our local community hospital ( aka the Band-aid station) they claimed my blood work showed perfection except for mild dehydration. Fluided me up by IV until I could give them an urine sample before going home. Why do I go there at all? Its closer than my Bariatric Facility 48 miles away. And rumor has it local yokels have found a general surgeon who wants to institute a Bariatric program, so like a purple spotted giraffe, everyone wanted to talk to or at least look at the strange beast there. They knew a little about lapband, a few about VSG but nobody seemed to have ever seen a live RnY bypasser, ended up lecturing a tutorial. Really didn't feel like doing a free one, but one serves where they can.
Another bari-pal says the Friday EGD may leave me sore, NBT I'm there already. Not sorry for the surgery, the experience not even the surgeon, only sad my body is healing in this way. Just a minor blip in my recovery, I'll be putt-putting🚕 down the road again, you know I started out So Good!

A few tricks I have picked up already for at home are to use baby spoons and forks that will limit how much you can put in your mouth. And purchase smaller plates that will also keep you from putting more on your plate then you should.

For the first couple of months, I think your plates could be coasters with room left over!

I actually found 1/2 cup bowls with lids so when I open my can of refrigerator Beans I can take it all out of the can put a dab of avocado on top and some graded cheese and have all of it ready to eat whenever I want it, four oz at a time.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
