When did you start losing hair?

Luckly for us that had surgery in the summer, by the time Hair loss stage rolls around it will be totally normal to throw on a cute stocking cap for fall/winter.

Mine started at 3 months out. I'm 4 months out now and still losing. I take my Multi Vitamins plus Biotin i also wash my hair with nioxin level 4 since before surgery. I'm hoping it lets up soon i have already thin hair from PCOS . i just have to wait it out i guess 😭

I'm just about 2 months out and I noticed Saturday that I've pretty much lost all of my upper and lower eyelashes. Ugh. Thus said, some of mine might be thyroid related...but I kind of doubt it.

OMG I hadn't even thought of eyebrows and eyelashes! I NEW worry from me, I'm Celtic,PCOS-retired? - red-headed the fewest per square inch of the hair shades, agingOMG I am going to look like a mangy, cur dog. Please hair, wait until Winter when I can just put a knitted cap on my shivering scalp.💦

It took Three months for me! It does stop though. Hang in there. Stressing might only make it worse.

As far as I’m aware, I only lost hair on my head.

Between 2 1/2 and 3 months post op. It’s really shedding a lot now (3 1/2 months) and I’m kind of freaking out about it.

I guess I noticed Hair loss about 3 months out. I still have thick hair so I wasn't affected by it too much. When I'm washing my hair, I can sometimes see strands falling out... a little scary but I'm trying different shampoos to see if it'll help.

This isnt a deciding factor for me at preop currently. I am worried about it happening to me but im preparing myself emotionally for it and my doctor recommended some supplements if it happens

It stopped at around 6 months. I noticed a tiny bit of regrowth at around 8 months. That was a very good day! My hair is growing back pretty fast which I mostly attribute to all the Vitamins and Water.

Yes, for me it started around three and a half months post-op. It's not too bad though. I have PCOS and I've seen worse than this. My hair was already thin and fragile before sleeve and I plan to make some changes for some time already.

Does the fact, that most of my uncle's are bald have any bearing on me as a woman? Am I amy, more prone to excessively thin?[emoji69]&[emoji73]
Genetics when it come to hair comes from your mother's father (maternal grandfather).

Mine has just started, I am at about 9 weeks out. I lose so much in the shower, that I dread it because it’s making my showers so much longer. It’s so hard to get all the hair rinsed off, then I have to clean the drain right away. I have a lot of thick hair though.

Maybe I'll need to wash my hair with the garden hose outside? That way I wouldn't clog the drains up!

My Hair loss started sometime after the 3 month mark and continues (now I am 4m 1w post op). I haven't taken Biotin, but maybe will consider it. My hair is very thick, and my stylist joked that if enough falls out we can stop thinning it, so it's more a plumbing issue from my point of view.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
