😂 I also sew and paint of which these are some of my favorite projects-

A nightmare before Christmas tote bag, this landscape with gold glitter, a watercolor city skyline, and these super fun pants.

I eat alot of salads. All my salads look pretty much the same. So here's something a little different: a pic of the mise en place instead, lol.

Romaine, vinaigrette, carrots, cucumbers, apples, kimchi, cheddar, smoked oysters, salami w/ prosciutto slices: 368 calories.

Ate a bit more than 1/2, will eat the rest later, unless someone in the fam gets to it first.

Another day of packed meals.

Green smoothie this time with kale, spinach, unsweetened almond milk, strawberries and chocolate Protein Powder

a cheesy broccoli spinach Soup I threw together in the instant pot while making the kids dinner (they had Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets). Have to say the soup reminds of the ooze from the TMNT secret of the ooze movie from the 90’s

an egg white with furikake and American cheese on an everything bagel thin

Protein Shakes, chocolate almonds, seaweed Snacks, a Protein Bar, freeze dried tangerines, and a beef broth packet

my exercise calories look off because it doesn’t account for the fact I sleep during the day and do most of my walking and stuff at night. I’ll break even before i clock in at work.

How does everyone pull this Soup off so effortlessly?!? Every time I have tried to make it the ingredients separate into layers like an archeological excavation site.

I’m ready to contribute! Almost. I’m in the soft food stage (surgery September 17th). I was going to take a b/a pic of my tuna fish, but then I found a bone in it, so obviously I can’t eat that now. (I feel bad about not being able to eat it, I really do).

Thanks for the thread! Looking at all the lovely meals has really helped me during this early stage!

Nutritional yeast, less cheese than recommended and an immersion blender.

Didn't get around to eating my salad leftovers from yesterday so am eating it now. Added a bit more ham, a half can of smoked oysters and a couple tbsps of seafood sauce.

Since I logged the whole salad yesterday, am just logging the stuff I added to it today: 176 calories.

I'm looking at it now and doubt I will eat it all, and will probably toss what I don't eat (the romaine is not as crisp as I want it to be). We shall see.

Woke up at the crack of dawn this morning (probably earlier than that, actually).

It was raining so couldn't go for a run, and there was nothing interesting to watch on TV, so .... I baked a pie.

Last time I baked a pie I subbed almost all the sugar with Monk Fruit, and though the fam couldn't tell the difference, they asked that the next time I baked a pie, I use real sugar. Jeez.

Which means one serving of this CARAMEL APPLE PIE (i.e,. 1/8 of the pie below) is 350 calories. I'm going out for drinks with the gal pals tonight so I'm gonna pass on pie today. I'll have a sample if there is any leftover tomorrow. The house smelled AWESOME though.

P.S. Full disclosure: I used pre-made pastry from the grocery so its not 100% homemade. Shhhhhhh...

I loss 19 pounds my first 7 days post op 🙌🏽 (Water weight or real weight.. weight is weight to me.. I’ll take it lol) I make sure I keep my water with me 24.7 and I walk every chance I get. I cook dinner for my kids with no problems. I have zero cravings!  By next week I should be in the 200’s. Haven’t been there since high school 🥲

Well, starting day 2 after surgery. Felling hunger pains again this morning and nausea, no vomiting. I think the hunger pains are coming from my stomach and not my pouch. Think I will call their hotline and speak with them about it. It is not terribly bad but it is uncomfortable. I do not regret getting the surgery though. I expected some discomfort right after, I just didn't expect the hunger pains.

I have two initial consultations coming up. November 30th I am traveling to Richmond Virginia to VCU and on December 2nd I am consulting with a bariatric surgeon in Salem Virginia.
Let's hope my insurance is good for this decision.
I wanted an extended tummy tuck but I cannot justify the out of pocket expense yet. Pray for me.
