I, too, am always cold 😭

Also, is anyone else eating a ton of cottage cheese (with a variety of toppings) lately?

No but according to our thread bylaws, now we have to 😂

I like cottage cheese with fruit but I have never tried it with savory flavors. What’s the best savory combo for a picky novice?

What's in that picture is my favorite. I don't like it with fruit but love it with cucumbers, tomatoes, garlic and everything but the bagel seasonings. Sometimes I add Ranch mix instead. Once I tried Good Culture brand I was ruined for all other cottage cheese brands.

Cottage cheese is quite big on socials at the moment but it’s a no for me. I struggle with it. Think it’s textual thing.

I can eat it if I strain it, otherwise the texture is an issue for me too.

Cottage cheese also a big no from me. Have tried it so many times. Won't say what the taste and texture remind me of, but suffice to say I had really nasty hyperemesis in my pregnancies and drank a lot of milk in an unsuccessful attempt to cure it. 🤣

Hear me out- whipped cottage cheese with whatever you want mixed in- I suggest going the fruity route and mixing chopped figs and pecans and a drizzle of honey and freezing first.

Cottage cheese bandwagon 😂

(Strained) Cottage cheese w/Strawberries because I’m not brave enough for savory toppings yet.

I have never gone the fruity route in my life and I'm not starting now 😂

Can start by sprinkling a little taijin seasoning on there. It's yummy!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
