This is a description of the benefits of Bio Oil:

  • Helps improve the appearance of scars; stretch marks; uneven skin tone; aging skin; dehydrated skin. Contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil. Bio-Oil is a specialist moisturizing oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging and dehydrated skin. PurCellin Oil: The Bio-Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and Vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil, which changes the formulation's overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy, ensuring that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed. Bio-oilusa.com. Vitamins A & E. Calendula, lavender, rosemary & chamomile oils. Face & body. Non-greasy. Rapidly absorbed. Hypoallergenic. Suitable for sensitive skin. Made in South Africa.

I'd assume that it would be firming in other places. I know its highly recommended for stretch marks and that is usually on your stomach, thighs, ect.

When you lose significant weight, you are left with excess skin. Nowhere is this visible more than on your face. I developed very fine wrinkles; almost paper thin crinkles, all over my face. I looked like I was a hundred years old. I mean I am old but not that old. I think women have the upper hand on this problem. My wife told me to use Bio-Oil available in the drug stores. it solved the problem. I put a little on once in the morning and it is good all day.

I went straight out and got Bio-oil yesterday after reading this post. I love the way it feels!!

Mine is dry too, extremely dry. I usually use Nivea, but it isn't have much effect. I bought Bio-Oil but misplaced it and was only trying it on my face and neck - I better find it and try it on everything! (I have recently been told I am a miserable old hag, so I better hurry up and find it)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
