Vets- your diet opinions please

Recommended Posts

Vets- I have been following Keto for about 9 months, lost about 48 lbs. Feeling good. I hate the word 'diet' but want your opinions:

I'm thinking about changing it up and going completely back to a post-bariatric type eating- low carb and higher Protein. I've been tweaking my diet a bit but don't want to screw myself up.

I have 10 lbs that I need to lose before some medical testing in about 4 weeks and wondering if going back to low carb/high protein vs Keto would be more successful (by successful I purely mean burn off some fat)??

thoughts?

It certainly wouldn't be an issue to change up your diet to see if the new intake would help you out. Upping your Water intake can help shed a few extra lbs as well.

I cut out junk food and started counting calories again. 1200 a day and in a few months the pudge was gone.

I’ve been following a Bariatric Keto plan that I got from Facebook group called Bariatric keto for women. It is low carb, moderate fat and high Protein. I feel fantastic getting back to the basic of our weight loss journey. I am 5 years out with no significant weight gain however I had been eating to much sugary food and was feeling very sluggish, I know weight gain would be next.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
