Yikes
I just swallowed a cherry pit! I feel like it’s going to hurt my gut! Should I be worried?

Vets- your diet opinions please
I’ve been following a Bariatric keto plan that I got from Facebook group called Bariatric keto for women. It is low carb, moderate fat and high protein. I feel fantastic getting back to the basic of our weight loss journey. I am 5 years out with no significant weight gain however I had been eating to much sugary food and was feeling very sluggish, I know weight gain would be next.

OMG this pain is freaking me out a little!
Don't mess around a twisted bowel is serious. I'm currently in the hospital. I had to have a exploratory surgery. They found a twisted intestine and my pouch has flipped. They were able to fix it. Thank God. It was very painful. I'm on the mend now.

Hypoglycemia
Just found out that my blood sugar is very low does anyone have this problem? How do you manage it?

Is your 'hunger feeling' different post op?
I am 6 months post RNY and I get really hungry all the time. My stomach actually hurts.
-
Sugar free Popsicles n gum
I chew gum sometimes to help curve my cravings. Sometimes it causes gas but most the time it's not a problem. My surgeon said just to be careful not to swallow it.
-
Protein shakes vs. food
My doctor said Protein drinks are fine. So I supplement with one every day just to make sure I can meet my protein goal. I get the rest from meat, beans, eggs and yogurt.

6 weeks out and still having regret...
I too second guess my decision to get the revision. My GERD is gone however I have such a hard time eating. My pouch is super small and everything I eat upsets it. I was finally at a place with my sleeve where I could comfortably eat and now I'm back to the beginning only this time I can't keep anything down. I feel like I'm slowly starving because my nutrition is so bad right now. My energy levels have crashed. I go in next week for my blood work and then see the doctor. On the brighter side I'm almost at goal which is very good. Now if I can only get everything else to line up.

What is most common reason people revise from VSG to RNY?
I had the sleeve to RNY revision because after my sleeve my reflux got really bad. Having to have surgery twice was no fun. I would really consider having RNY if you already have reflux.

Day 4 post-op!
Sounds like your right on tract. I agree with Crosby Popsicle are great at this stage. Water and protein are good to focus on now. Good luck!

Protein intake question
My understanding is 30g at a time with three hours in between. I have had the worst time finding a protein I can tolerate. I finally found lean 25 from GNC and proflex20 from melaluca both are great tasting.

Weight Lost!
I had revision surgery 6 weeks ago and have lost 25lbs. My doctor said to expect slower weight loss after revision. He said to expect 1 to 2 pounds a week. So congratulations your doing great!

Very confused!
Hello Blondie311, I had a sleeve to bypass on Feb. 3. I had my revision to help with my reflux and it has taken it away. That being said please call your doctor your reflux should not be getting worst.

Any GERD sufferers who were still able to get their sleeve done?

Ouch!
So today I tried to eat very mushy tuna. Apparently I ate to fast or to much and had it get stuck. OMG it was so painful! I was bent over trying to walk it off it took for ever. Had what I think is called the foamies. Yuk! Lessened learned.
