Im Losing a lot of hair also. 😰

1000 mg Lysine daily is known to help with Hair loss. You could give it a try and see if it works for you. Its a cheap solution if so.

Well I’ve lost 65 pounds since my July sleeve. But now I’ve hit a plateau for about two weeks now. This is the most frustrating thing ever!!! I’ve gone back to cutting down my calories so I’m hoping this will pass soon.

I 2nd that. Right down the center of my head like a reverse mohawk. I havn't cut my hair in 2 years but am starting to become really tempted to give myself a baldy. What is collagen, well what do you buy to add it? Just had a follow up with my NP today and doing good. A little low on Vit-A and Protein but it's higher than my last visit. Go back in 2 months for my 6 month.

I am in the same boat. Losing hair like crazy. I hate combing my hair after I shower. I could probably go into wig making with all the hair that is coming out :-) Started at exactly 3 months. From what I have read it only last a few months and should stop by month 6. Not sure if much can be done now but if anyone finds something, Vitamins, supplements that will help, please share!!!! Great work on all the Weight loss everyone!!! I’m down almost 50 and feeling amazing!!!!

I hit 195 a couple of weeks ago but I'm struggling to get in my Protein and Water. I need a good kick in the butt.

I don't know what to do about it.

Me, too. I've plateaued at 52# for 4 weeks and am so demoralized. Earlier I plateaued for two weeks and thought THAT was the pits. Geesh. I'm ready to go back to Square One with broth and Protein Drinks. My next appt. is Nov. 30 so I will ask for a pep talk, if nothing else. The Hair loss is also depressing. I didn't think I was low on Protein, and I've been on Biotin for 12 months, so that's baffling, too. Well, I'm glad I have at least one other person to commiserate with in this part of the journey! I think we will get beyond this, but we have to tough it out.

Well I’m going on week three of my plateau and I’m starting to lose hair again. Can’t lose weight but my hair oh yeah that’s definitely falling🙄. I guess I’ll just wait it out and probably get a hair cut if this Hair loss keeps up.

@nibble I did a reverse search on the image and it did a search on "fit image". It came up with my pic, pinterest link along with many more sculptures https://www.pinterest.com/ronmueck/sculpture-v2/?lp=true . Changed search to "fit image sculpture and this clean female version came up https://www.pinterest.com/pin/550002173217529455/?lp=true

I'm pretty sure I came across it on Pinterest while in one of my many rabbit hole searches. Did not do anymore searching on history or who made the original though. Hope this helps.

Thanks J - I found both. Hope someday to learn the artist of these. Pretty cool!

Congratulations to you on reaching Onederland. I was just happy to reach Twonderland. Never expected to be able to say I'm down 75# since consult, or 57# since surgery July 17. After a depressing 2 month adjustment phase (aka "stall") I've lost one pound per day this week. Don't understand this but guess I don't have to understand it, just go with it! And yes, continuing Hair loss. Added Lysine to my meds, along with the Biotin I've taken for 12 months. How about the rest of our July Sleevers?

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
