December Surgery Dates

Recommended Posts

I agree with Tomecia, this is really getting real. The hospital called and said I had to be there at 6am and all the other normal yada yada.

I can hardly wrap my head around this wonderful thing happening tomorrow. I keep hearing that country song in my head, "I'm with the band." I think that's going to be my theme song. It really does fit the situation I think.

Good luck tomorrow everyone! I have a 5 hour drive to make so I won't be on much more today. Maybe tonight if I can't sleep.

Take a deep breath! Is your doctors' office going to help figure out what is happening? Do you need to call someone to clarify? I wish I could snap my fingers and fix this all for you . . . what did they tell you to do?

Ladies,

Depending on how you feel after the op and how far you have to travel, i found the best thing was to make sure you have one of your favourite older bras to wear home - you will not want anything to tight or restrictive to start with - especially with the gas they fill you up with. Another fashion tip, a pair of pull on pants - track pants is great - or ones with a draw string waist as this allows you to have them a little looser around your incisions. I know they won't get you in the best dressed list - but if you have any distance to travel on your way home - comfort is more important.

I'm having surgery tomorrow, I'm so excited!!! So far everything is good. Went to my pre-op appt yesterday and I have reflux pretty bad, and a small hernia....from being overweight. The doctor said if it's bad he'll fix it,and hopefully loosing weight will help with the reflux.

So I went and got a super soft fleece blanket, and some fleece pijama pants, so that I can be comfortable. Have been having the last meal syndrome all week. My doctor didn't require a pre-op diet.

I'm impatiently waiting for my date. I've been depressed the past couple of days. I hope it goes away. I just want to start my losing journey. Right now all I think about is eating. I tired of feeling like this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
