Day 6 and finally went #2 & now have diarrhea

Hello and so sorry if this is TMI. I haven’t gone to the bathroom since two days before my surgery. Today, I woke up, took milk of magnesia, went “normal” once and now have massive diarrhea. Should I be concerned? I’m already having a hard time with taking in my protein and water and now diarrhea? Any advice would be fabulous and again, sorry for the TMI! ?

Its the milk or magnesia still working. Seriously it should stop. Maybe switch to miralax once daily. Have you gone to the restrooms alot with diarrhea or just once or twice. I wouldn't be to concerned since you took a laxative.

Sounds like the effects of the MOM and should get better once that is out of your system. Maybe drink some powerade Zero along with plenty of water since it will give you electrolytes that you are losing with the diarrhea.

Thank you ladies. I can’t believe one dose caused all this ruckus! Lol

Sounds typical, my first was semi solid then lots of black sand... it clears up with time and diet changes.

Thank you, Matt. That’s exactly what happened.
