Just beginning my "study" of all this!

Hey everyone, I'm just beginning my own personal search into Lap Band. My brother had gastric bypass a few months back and he's doing fabulous! He considered the lapband, but after careful study, decided to do the bypass. I learned some stuff from him. I think the lapband would be better for me. I'm looking for information on eating restrictions right after surgery. My brother has been very restricted, how is it for lapband? And slipping is another concern of mine. I weight about 230, and would like to lose 100 lbs.

Ruth I love my band . I have had two fills and have good restriction. It may take a little longer to lose with the band , but the surgery is safer. Donna
