I was sleeved on Feb 15th, so 13 weeks ago. The first 42 lbs flew off me! But I seem to have stopped losing weight. I’ve been hovering between 244-239 lbs for the past two weeks. I’m scared my body has got used to tiny portions and has stopped reacting with weight loss. I keep weighing every day because I’m so obsessed with seeing the numbers go down, which doesn’t seem to be happening! I’ve still got a lot to lose! Did anyone stall around 3 months? How did it stop? Any diet tips? Is exercise super important? Any help appreciated!

First, stop with the daily stress. If your scale doesn't have body fat or other metrics as well, going off 1 and only 1 metric is going to be madding and not at all the full picture!!

How's the exercising going? How's your Water intake?

The math is simple, if calories burned is higher than calories eaten, you **WILL** lose weight.

You will stall. Your body will need time to pause and re-calibrate itself. Just make sure you are getting your required amounts of Protein and water and that you are burning more than you are consuming. Just stick with it and the scale WILL move again.

I've had a few stalls already in the 2 months since my revision. I made sure to pay attention to my body fat percentage as well. So even if I gained a pound or 2, if my body fat decreased... I knew I was still doing things the right way.

Stick with it and DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED!!! You are not alone!
Good Luck!

FREEZE THIS THE BARIATIC POLICE. NOW STEP AWAY FROM THE scale. (JK)

do consider giving the scale a break and move to a weekly weigh-in vs the daily mental torture you do now.

Not every victory in this journey comes from the scale and even when not losing weight other good things happen. There is a whole thread on NSV - that's non scale victories - give it a read and see how many apply now and what you have to look forward to.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
