  7. I usually stick to the healthier snacks, but I have had some "no-nos". Today I had a jellly donut and I beat myself up about for the most part of the day. Last week I had a scoop of ice cream. I'm just trying not get back into the habit of eating these things when I know how slippery that slope is. One problem that I have is lack of time to plan. (something I'm working on). I do believe that is a great tool to avoid choosing not so healthy options. Ive actually made tons of bariatric friendly recipes. Including cauliflower pizza. I even made it for my family and they loved it also!
  8. Thank you. We all need some form of support whether it comes from our loved ones or in groups like these. I appreciate your feedback and wish you luck on your journey!
  9. I'm 5 months post op and feel like I am failing in this journey. At least twice a week I am giving in to temptation and having a snack. I'm worried that this will cause me to revert back to my old eating habits. Although I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks, my doc says I'm right on track where I need to be. How do you fight the temptation?

  15. Thank you for your comment. This makes absolute perfect sense and some of us need to hear this. I am 1 month post-op having lost 20 lbs since my surgery. My friend who had the same procedure on the same day as me has lost more weight than I have and it kinda bummed me out. Im thinking I'm doing something wrong. Not realizing that our bodies are all different so we won't lose weight uniformly.
  16. I do not think it is necessary to have a puree stage. The instructions I received at my facility had only three stages. Liquids... Soft foods... Then regular foods. It could be based on the length of the stages.. As mine was 2 weeks of liquids then 2 weeks or longer of soft foods only.
