How Soon Until Better? (Sleeved May 9th)

Recommended Posts

I had surgery on the 10th. I tried my Protein Shake this morning and it was disgusting!! 🤣 I work on 4 oz of a premiere shake right now which is much better. I can drink, but it still hurts and is uncomfortable. I had a hiatal hernia repair as well so that could be why it is so hard to swallow.
How are you guys pain wise?

I’m same as you. I think it must be the hiatal hernia repair making it uncomfortable for me when I drink.

My surgery was on May 9th as well. I just got home from hospital I started running fever as well as having major naseau. Now that I am home these gas pains are horrible :( but I am drinking my Protein as well as sugar free popsicles. Be careful I have found with sugar alcohols cause it will cause gas pains as well. I pray for each of you! And pray that each of you as well as myself reach the goals we have always wanted to be at.

I was thinking the same thing when I first had my surgery. For me I started feeling better after about a week. But drinking Water first thing in the morning still kind of hurts 3 1/2 weeks out and I get a really uncomfortable feeling from eating too much. The hardest part for me is to stop eating after I've had just a few bites, because I know I will be super full if I keep eating. It will get better, hang in there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
