I’m skipping the kid Vitamins because from what I’ve researched they don’t give you enough of certain ones that you need after getting WLS. Also, I’m not doing the blended meats or baby foods. I’m not a big meat eater in the first place, and I dislike certain textures when it comes to food. I’ll be sticking to other options like puréed veg Soup, mashed sweet potatoes and scrambled eggs. If I do decide to have meat, it will probably be canned tuna.
If I end up needing a scale I won’t hesitate to buy one, but for now I don’t see the need as I’ll be using oz and cup measurements.
But we’re all different so whatever works for each of us while we embark on our new lives. [emoji4]

I won’t do purée meats and I deff won’t be eating Jello or pudding 🤢 I can’t tolerate the texture/consistency. But I love the taste of baby food with a little salt lol

I’m going to be honest, I haven’t had baby food since I WAS a baby [emoji23]. I love Jello and pudding so I’m good on that score. But puréed meats? Nope 🤢

I feel the same about the meats, aside from chicken turkey and tuna salad! Wasn't meant to be blended....lol

EXACTLY. I mean if you can or want to do that part, awesome. But not for me. It’s not necessary since I can get my Protein in many other ways.

Ok, so just went to costco. One bought a few items. Water, trash bags, laundry soap and the Premier Protein drinks. They had vanilla, chocolate and carmel. My issues is I want variety and not really a fan of having the same flavor all the time. So, I got the vanilla hoping I can add ice and blend it with maybe strawberries...right?? My other question when you go to Costco what do you buy?

@Chrisb428 I'm also Costco-Poor and the nearest Sams Club is almost 25 miles away. Sure we have quaint people nearby, brick streets, picket fences, pretty scenery, friendly people. I'd rather have an Intrrstate, costco, Sams Club, Meijer, Kohls , Target, more clean industry, and a downtown that's not in the process of dying. Throw in temperatures 60-80 degrees year-around and Frust8 would change her name to Smiley Lady.😐

One thing I stocked up on was liquid Tylenol. I was told it works better after surgery than the pills. Walmart has the equate brand for $4.99 a bottle.

I couldn't find the adult liquid at my Wal-Mart but it's in my Amazon cart along with the Vitamins, gas x, and laxatives...lol

I don’t believe you can add fruit Peanut Butter or much of anything of that nature that isn’t low cal or carb to add flavor. Decaf coffee is ok or cinnamon but Strawberries in the shake can quickly spike the sugar up 15-20grams. This is just for one drink, now if you do this several times a day it just can’t be good. But idk maybe you’re in a diff diet plan. Costco, I don’t shop there I love Amazon though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
