Kristen especially but y'all have got to see this one!

Very un-natural and very scary, I think! Red flags going off all over the place the more I think about it!

Now I MUST GET MY BUTT TO BED!!!!!!! It's nearly 1AM here! :tt1:

I saw this and could not believe what I was reading! Of course, I do teach high school so it is different. As a teacher I want the kids socializing at lunch (recess), it is their time to let off some steam and connect with their peers.

If it were my kid, they would be in a different school so fast it would make your head spin. Everyone had good advice about meeting with PTA, taking issue to principal and then to school board and superintendent.

your not - i can assure you !

i think allowing yourself to eat, eat well & larger than what you hear / see people here write (1.4c food @ a time) does take time. but honestly - a .25c of food is NOT how we should be eating, ESPECIALLY those who are very active - such as yourself.

when i kept my calories under 1000 - i stalled.

now i maintain eating between 1000-1500, depending on the day & my acitivity level. i know days i exercise hard, i can eat a side of beef.

re - charlene, that HH????

first jacket needed this AM when i stepped outside, LOVE it. have a good wkend all~

I know I need to get my calories up, they do run rather low. I am sure that is part of the problem as to why I am stalling out. I just read the food threads and think, how do they only eat 1/4 cup and snack on celery and make it through the day - I would be starving! I just see so many people eating so little and losing I just feel like I eat way too much. It is definitely a head thing, got to get around it!

Carlene - Yep!

Fall is in the air!

BBK praying that Faith is doing better.

TPG..what is going on with your Dr?

Thank you all so much. I miss you all really badley. I checked into getting just internet and it ranges from almost $60.00 up. I told them to forget it. I wanted the coupon price for $20.00. But that is if I get the package. Go jump in the lake! Thats what I thought. So untill I can find something in my price range I guess I will be without. I will have my DD update ya'll after the surgery. Sorry about 2 types of print, I am on a laptop. I am totally at a loss! lol

Hello everyone! Today is DGD's b-day she is 6. So I am able to be on the puter at DD house. The one that lives near me has had her internet shut off also. So I have to wait till I can go some where else to use it.

Update on DBIL. They put a trach in on Tues. Said he can't get another one (this is #2). Still in ICU. He might get to go to a room next week.

My surgery date has been changed to Sept 24th. He will be taking out all of the left thyroid. If it is non cancerous he won't touch the right side.

Ipray yall are well and getting jobs. Etc.....:w00t:

G4E~ So good to hear from you! Still sending thoughts and prayers of healing to you and your BIL.

DD and I used to go to the hospital and sit in the lounge, waiting area to use the free high speed internet before we got high speed at home!

Yes, please post a link. Inquiring minds would like to know.

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Posted the link - you will love it!:frown:

Hope all is well with you and you are having a great weekend!

PJTP: Had to get up early for the Lava Bear Football scrimmage! It was a beautiful morning and the boys looked really good. DS had a blast and caught a couple of passes and made three big tackles! He is loving football! Scares me when he is out there, don't want him to get hurt!

My students set up the spirit wear and we sold quite a few clothes, stickers, etc. It was a good morning and way to start off the school year for our student store.

I am sitting here being lazy, but have a bunch to do!

Have a great afternoon, BBL!

G4E!!!! So glad you got to check in!

What about those $9.99 internet places? Or do they not exist anymore? I am so clueless!

Thanks for your updates. I'm sorry that BIL is still in ICU but I'm hoping he gets a room soon. That would be great.

Good to hear you have a date for your surgery. Prayers that it all goes well and that it's NOT cancer!

Take care and check in when you can!

Yep, I'm now thinking that if that were DD, she would have gone home with me then and there! After a stop to the principal's office!

I know I need to get my calories up, they do run rather low. I am sure that is part of the problem as to why I am stalling out. Lu has great advice. And you can't look at what others are eating. Unless they are actually measuring, I doubt it's only 1/4 cup! And they are also probably really tight. I don't want to be that tight!

I'm getting excited again about the trip up your way! :frown:

G4E,

Good to hear from you. As always, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself and update when you can.

PJTP: I have a stomach ache today. It's either laughing at Carlene or too many oatmeal Cookies. I think it's Carlene 'cause how can cookies be bad? Maybe I overdid it after the liquids.< /p>

I'm looking into a new surgeon this coming week. Hopefully I'll like him and we can get going on a new surgery date. I really was having bad feelings about the other guy. This time, if I hear warning bells, I'll listen. My fingers are crossed that I don't have to repeat all the pre-op tests. It would be kinda dumb. I just did them all on 8/3. I just want to get going. I hate waiting around.

Hope you all are having a good weekend. An old friend says to say hey to all of you and he's thinking about ya. This friend shall remain nameless...at least for the next 2 months.

TPG

Oatmeal is good for you, could not be the cookies! Carlene is hilarious!

Crossing fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes, hoping that this surgeon works out for you! I would hope that they wouldn't have you redo the tests since you just had them done! That would be a waste of your time. Since you are self-pay I would think they would get you in the cycle pretty quickly.

Say hi to our friend!

I know that was happening to me about a month back... I was tracking my meals and was only logging about 800 to 900 calories a day. And I wasn't losing an ounce. I figured it was stalled due to not enough calories, so I increased them. Then I went on vacation and was eating all sorts of crap which REALLY increased them, and now I'm on the pouch test.

Hey G4E!! Nice to see you, and glad to hear all is moving along.

Have you tried NetZero? They are about $10 a month, I believe. Maybe give them a shot.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
